ANTIQUE AAFA FOLK ART EARLY CHECKERBOARD ORIGINAL PAINT MUSTARD WHITE BLACK. Up for sale is this old hand painted checkerboard. It has a great folk art feel to it! The board is a wonderful mustard, black and white color. It has worn edges, paint loss and hand wear. The gaming part has black /white color alternating squares. The board is a 12 x 12 game field. It appears to be made from two large pieces of wood with bread board ends. The boards have separated pretty good and you can see the seam down the middle of the checkerboard. It has old rusty round nails around the outside of the board. It measures 26.25 L x 19.75 W and is about 1.25″ thick at the edges and 2″ thick at the thickest point. There is a little wire loop on the top of the back to hang the checkerboard on the wall. You can see this in the pictures. This side also has worn edges, scrapes and hand wear. This is a very nice game board!! As mentioned, theres some edge wear, paint loss, nicks, lots of scrapes, scratches and dings. The two boards that make up the checkerboard are a little warped as they kind of hump in the middle of each board and then that creates a valley where the two boards meet in the middle. You can’t really tell when just looking at the board but when you lay it down you can see it. We tried to take a picture of this for you. These issues are just as youd expect from and item of this age. Its still just fabulous!!! Its a very nice piece for your collection. Antique folk art picture frame circa 1890. Wonderful early American folk made picture frame in it’s original painted finish. Charming stepped concentric circles elements and miniature pointed turned finials at corners. The original paint is nicely worn and has a great antique patina. Well constructed with overlapped joints and through-dowel finials. A very special and early frame with tremendous folk art appeal. Would make a great mirror or frame for an early sampler or artwork. Early Antique Folk Art Aafa Wash / Plant Stand Bucket Bench Table Original Paint

EARLY ANTIQUE FOLK ART AAFA WASH / PLANT STAND FOLDING TABLE ORIGINAL RED PAINT. Up for sale is this amazing old wash stand, plant stand or folding table. We’re not sure what it might have been used for but we are sure that it’s unique and beautiful! This is the real deal!! It’s old, it’s Primitive and it’s fabulous! 47″ L x 16 1/2″ W at the base of the legs by 19 H. It’s a rare, one-of-a-kind white low folding table or stand of some sort. It may have been a wash stand. It has splayed legs that fold out with little wood turns that hold the legs in place. Then the legs can be folded in and it condenses down. It doesn’t lay completely flat but it is close. In the top, on either the left or right board, there’s a handle cut out. This is to carry it by when it’s folded down. It’s very handy! The top boards are 2.75″ W x almost 1″ thick!! It’s a wonderful and nice red color and it appears to be the original paint. There are also some scratches, nicks, chips, surface rust, paint loss, old paint, hand rub wear, edge wear, paint marks and patina. These are all things you want to see in a true antique – don’t you just love it? ! ? ! It’s a very nice piece for your collection. Thank you for looking at this item. Aafa Early Folk Art Antique Cabinet Cupboard Old Red Grey Paint Square Nails

AAFA EARLY FOLK ART ANTIQUE CABINET CUPBOARD OLD RED GREY PAINT SQUARE NAILS. Up for sale is this wonderful old wall cabinet or cupboard. It’s a wonderful grey / red color. It has a single door and scroll top. There are Shaker style hinges and a wooden thumb-turn spin latch. The cabinet measures 27.25 H to the main part of the cabinet and 31 H to the top of the scroll top x 19 W x 10.25 D. There is a large hole in the scroll top probably from where it was hung on the wall. The cabinet is old, but we don’t know how old. It does have square nails in the back and we took a picture of some of them for you. They are all rusty but some of the nails are round also. The paint is old and crackled with grey on top with red and wood color undertones. The back of the cupboard is wood and it made from two pieces of wood (or one split one) and the gap between the two sides is pretty obvious as you can see in the pictures. Inside there are two shelves, three sections total. The inside is painted the similar grey with stains, streaks, edgewear, patina and obvious wear from use and age. Please see the photos for an accurate detail and description. The pictures are pretty good for the color, especially the close up ones. It’s a nice old cupboard!! Up for sale is this Early Folk Art Antique Cabinet Cupboard With Grey Paint. It has a single door and a flat top. The door latch is old as you can see in the photo. The cabinet measures 31.75″ tall and 20.75″ wide and 12 deep. The bottom of the cabinet has a sign label from early 1900’s and has exceptional color to it for it’s age. Aafa Antique Early Folk Art 1800 Cupboard Pie Safe Square Nails Dovetailed Paint

AAFA ANTIQUE EARLY FOLK ART 1800 CUPBOARD PIE SAFE SQUARE NAILS DOVETAILED PAINT. Up for sale is this wonderful old primitive pie safe / cupboard. It’s a nice sized two door cabinet with a single drawer up above. On the sides, there are punched tins little stars on them as you can see in the pictures. They appear to be the original tins which are in good shape as you can see in the pictures but not without issues. There is a hole in the second tin on the left side. There’s some paint on the tins and some paint not on the tins. 38.75″ wide at the top by 16″ deep at the top it’s 50. It’s a wonderful Primitive red painted finish with the richness of the patina of age. The back is great looking and has stains and patina. It also has letters stenciled across the top of the back and they say “AWG”. There are square nails in the top along with rusty round nails. We took a close up picture for you. On the front, the left door has a crack / split in it in the middle and the right door has a crack / split along the right side. You can see these in the pictures. On the drawer, the left knob / pull is a mushroom style while the right one is not. There’s a little metal thumb turn on the doors and it has some marking, scarring and twisting marks from years of use. Inside there’s a latch bolt that apparently was added to keep the left door in place and then the thumb turn keeps the other door to the left door. The doors have Shaker style hinges. Inside there are three shelves which have patina and wear on them. The top is wood but is not painted. The drawers are not dovetailed. This is everything you’d expect to see from an old survivor cabinet like this! What a great look! The cabinet has some edge wear, scrapes, scratches, chunks of wood missing, chips, patina, fading, variation of color, mouse holes, rounding, and nicks. Please see photos for accurate detail and description. The pictures are pretty good for the color, especially the close up ones. It’s a great old cabinet / cupboard!! Early Aafa Antique Folk Art Table Top Pie Safe Screened Crackle Blue Paint

EARLY AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART TABLE TOP PIE SAFE SCREENED CRACKLE GREY-BLUE PAINT. Up for sale is this nice table top pie safe. It’s old but it has likely been repainted at some point. It’s a faded / soft / grungy greyish-blue with crackle as you can see in the pictures. It measures 24.5 W x 20 D at the top x 28.5″ H at the front and 32″ H at the back. It’s a one-of-a-kind grey-blue, folksy, screened pie safe. It has one door on it with old face over hinges as you can see in the pictures. The doors work well. It has a square wooden door pull and two thumb turns. Overall the screens on the front and sides are reasonable but the front screen near the bottom is a little loose and the sides screens are a little spotted/rusty. We took a picture close-up of the left side. The grain is lifted here and there and the back is bead board. On the right side there’s a vertical piece near the back where there is a brighter and newer bit of bluer paint. Underneath it’s old wood with one board toward the back looking like it was replaced at some point. Inside there is one shelf and it is pretty clean. There are also some scratches, nicks, chips, surface rust on the screens, paint loss, alligator paint, crackle, hand rub wear, edge wear, paint marks and patina. Early 20th Century Folk Art Hand Carved Wood Dog Spaniel Sculpture Painted

Here is a wonderful early carved wood painted dog that looks like a spaniel. Ive had this for quite a while and I have never cleaned it. Its dirty and dusty and it looks just the way it did when I found it. The hind leg in the last picture needs to be reattached which can be done very easily with a little wood glue. The dogs left ear is a little loose so youll need to be careful when moving it. That too is a quick and easy fix. This is a really great carving thats at the very least 100 years old. The detail is unbelievable and the paint and the patina is perfect. Its just an amazing piece of folk that should be enjoyed by a true dog lover.
