Who doesn’t love penguins? This fella or gal is close to life size and is a representation of an Emperor Breed. Solid wood on wooden stand it is wonderful Folk Art. Found in a collection of folk art not sure exactly where it originated from. The penguin has a nice older surface with some paint wear as expected with age. Early to mid 1900’s. Original SIgned Folk Art Carving of Maine Whaler Whirligig 1919. From the estate of a collector on the Maine coast, this is a another great little wood folk carving. The Sailer or Whaler has a great painted face with a carved nose, hat, black boots, and early traditional clothes of a whaler – wonderful colorful paint decoration. Great folk art work and display piece. Under his black hat he has long black hair on the back that looks like it came from a paint brush. The sailor/whaler paddles are firmly attached and can be positioned at different angles. The Great little Sailor Whirlygig is mounted on a small wood base. On the bottom of the base it says “carved by Adolph Haugh, 1919″. The Antique Whaler Whirlygig measures 12.5″ tall, 14″ tall to top of paddle. Nice size for display. Old Antique Vtg 1950s Hand Made Folk Art Carved Wooden Doll Original Paint Nice

This offering is for a vintage ca 1940’s to 50’s hand made folk art wooden doll figure. The young lady stands app. 17 tall and has metal post on the bottoms of her feet to put her on a stand, there is no stand. There are no makers markings. The head and torso were carved from one piece of wood, the wooden arms are jointed at the shoulders with wire and the wooden legs are attached with wire as well. She wears what appears to be her original clothing and hat, she has a purse over her arm. The workmanship is excellent and the condition is wonderful. There is minor soiling to her clothing and wear to her hat. The tip of one foot is missing. Otherwise there are no breaks or cracks and she displays beautifully.
