Subject: Birds, Fauna, Figures circa 1970’s , Oil on masonite, 14 x 24 inches (Original hand made wood frame). Bob Brictson Collection Physical condition is excellent (8 out of 10). 1970’s rare vintage collectible, museum quality. Born in 1923, St Pierre spent most of his life working as a gardener. He was about fifty years old when he began to paint in 1972 after watching Michelle Manuel paint. Encouraged by her and his patron, Albert Mangones, St Pierre devoted most of his time to his new passion. A talented painter, he expressed his feelings through his work, painting mostly birds, flowers and voodoo spirits. He died September 25th, 1985 in kenscoff.
