Direct from artist, hand signed, dated, and titled on back of painting. Painting is on a stretched canvas, gallery wrapped, no staples on sides. Sides are painted black so no need to frame. HUNTED SLAVES 1861 Oil PAINTING – Black Americana. This is considered a very important representation of slave life in America in 1861. The Hunted Slaves is a mid 19th century painting by British artist Richard Ansdell. Done in oil on canvas, the work depicts two African American slaves facing down a group of hunting dogs as the two slaves flee. The work is in the collection of the International Slavery Museum in Liverpool. The painting I have listed here was painted 15 years after the original, Possibly done by the original artist. Antique Aafa Folk Art Early Checkerboard Original Paint Mustard Black White

ANTIQUE AAFA FOLK ART EARLY CHECKERBOARD ORIGINAL PAINT MUSTARD WHITE BLACK. Up for sale is this old hand painted checkerboard. It has a great folk art feel to it! The board is a wonderful mustard, black and white color. It has worn edges, paint loss and hand wear. The gaming part has black /white color alternating squares. The board is a 12 x 12 game field. It appears to be made from two large pieces of wood with bread board ends. The boards have separated pretty good and you can see the seam down the middle of the checkerboard. It has old rusty round nails around the outside of the board. It measures 26.25 L x 19.75 W and is about 1.25″ thick at the edges and 2″ thick at the thickest point. There is a little wire loop on the top of the back to hang the checkerboard on the wall. You can see this in the pictures. This side also has worn edges, scrapes and hand wear. This is a very nice game board!! As mentioned, theres some edge wear, paint loss, nicks, lots of scrapes, scratches and dings. The two boards that make up the checkerboard are a little warped as they kind of hump in the middle of each board and then that creates a valley where the two boards meet in the middle. You can’t really tell when just looking at the board but when you lay it down you can see it. We tried to take a picture of this for you. These issues are just as youd expect from and item of this age. Its still just fabulous!!! Its a very nice piece for your collection. OOAK Folk Art Halloween Handmade Painted Face Pretty Witch Doll Black Cat Mask

One of a kind folk art handcrafted Halloween witch doll was made by a Pennsylvania folk artist. The witch can sit or hang on a wall. The witch has a hand painted face in the style of Joe Spencer dolls. She has light brown hair and big brown eyes. She has a fabulous black cat mask that fits over her face. She can be posed with the mask on, off or partially on her face. Looks great every way. She’s holding a round rattle on a wire that reads to “Boo”. The rattle is trimmed with shiny orange tinsel. Her green cardboard hat is also trimmed with shiny orange tinsel. Please note there are some spots of worn paint on the back of the hat. Please refer to photos. Her dress and long bloomers are made of various pattern Halloween fabrics primarily in shades of green, orange and yellow. Her legs, arms, and face are made to look aged. Her legs are orange and white stripes. Her shoes are painted like black ballet flats. This witch doll measures approximately 24 long (not including hat). Hat is approximately 5 high. Her scary black cat mask is awesome all by itself. The fabric painted mask measures approximately 6″ x 6″. Excellent used condition from a smoke free home. AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART PRIMITIVE PULL TOY WOOD HORSE ORIGINAL HAND PAINTED BLACK. Up for sale is this wonderful wooden toy horse. His body is a black color while his saddle blanket is a grey linen backed material. He has a dark red, dry leather? Harness and hand painted red bridle, white eyes and red nostrils. He has a patch of white where his mane was and a little white thing for a tail. Hes in good condition considering his age and has some scrapes, paint loss, nicks and wear. His ears are a little dinged up and one ear is missing a piece of wood. Hes on a pull toy base with iron wheels that are inside the wood. This makes him pretty old. His base is a wood base with red filigree trim. The wheels are black. Hes a cute horse with a great attitude! As youd expect, there are scuffs and paint loss, nicks, dings, edge wear, smudges and patina! He measures 10.25 long x 3.75 wide (at the base). The base is 1.75 H and the horse, on the base is 10 H. For your consideration, a Black Forest Wag Wall clock with a beautiful folk art style floral and geometric painted dial. Note this is NOT a working clock – it is missing the weights, pendulum and keys for winding. The dial is 9.5″ w x 13.5″ h. It’s slightly curved, in a convex fashion, but that would not affect the working of the clock. The entire unit is 15″ tall and 6.5″ deep. The chapter ring is 8.75 in diameter.
