This piece is one of 3 different pieces for a series about the modernization of mesoamerican cultures and what they would look like in today’s fashion. The sculpture of the Aztec Maize God seems to be pushing forward the modern Aztec man with the same bracelet to indicate the connection to its descendant. As if seeing the old culture continue to live through new bloodlines. This painting has been shown at the SOMArts cultural center in SF for the Mish-Mash Art show.
