SIZE 11 x 13 1/2″ (sight); 14 1/2 x 17″ (including frame). Quill and brush watercolor freehand. Large PA-type fraktur style presentation piece. Forceful and energetic with wonderful brilliant color. Very Decorative in fine period lemon gold frame. Ex estate of venerable Ohio auctioneer/collectors Tom and Carol Porter who had a great eye for interesting objects in as-found condition. CONDITION All in all, exceptionally clean as these things go. Examined and photographed outside frame. Only obvious problem is small tight tear on left side. Frame has repaired chips. Old Antique Vtg Early 19th C 1800s Hand Painted Folk Art Tin With Distlefink Birds

This offering is for an antique circa early 1800’s folk art hand painted tin toleware can. The can measures app. 3″ by 3.25″ by 2.25 and the condition is excellent. The tin is not signed or dated but was likely made in Pennsylvania in the mid 19th century. All four sides and the top of the lid are decorated, with Distlefink birds on the top, front and back. The end panels have a simple floral design. The three birds are all distinctively different and the lid also has a small heart painted above the birds tail. The surface is outstanding with overall fine crazing and a beautiful deep untouched patina. There is minor wear with a tiny bit of chipping on the edges as seen in our close up photo’s. Antique 19th Century Sailors Woolwork Folk Art Ship Picture Hms Northumberland

A large mid-Victorian sailors woolwork picture of HMS Northumberland in an ornate gilt frame. HMS Northumberland (built 1866) was the last of the three Minotaur class armoured frigates built for the Royal Navy during the 1860’s. She was in active service until 1899 and was broken up in 1935. An excellent example of the craft. Frame – 69cm x 59cm. Picture – 49cm x 39cm. Very good for age. Frame has minor losses. Pennsylvania Estate Sale find! Paint decorated 19th Century Mirror dated 1884. Wooden mirror with wooden back. Scrolling at the top. Hand turned finials at the base. This is a heavy mirror-almost 13 lbs! Measures approximately 22.5″ x 41″. Handpainted, decorated with flowers, dated 1884 at bottom. Base color is brown with red and green flowers and golden accents. The mirror surface is consistent with age, some silver loss and a small chip at the top. There is some paint chipping at the bottom. The stenciled decoration is wonderful depicting a man, a woman and a dog in an outdoor wooded setting with a house in the background.
