I was on a trip there and found it in a little store in the heart of town. My decor has changed so much and it does not fit in anywhere and yet I love it and just hate to part with it. I know someone else will enjoy it as it is just a delightful piece and makes you happy just to look at it. It is in excellent, original condition. The paint and colors pop and are really beautiful. It is fairly large and measures approximately 18.5″w x 23.5″ L. The width of the mirror with the doors fully open is approximately 23.25. There is a hanger on the back for easy display. It is from a forever smoke free home. It will be packed carefully. Mexican 1937 Hand Painted Carved Festival Folk Art Tribal Mask Tourist Piece
Antique Mexican 1937 or OLDER Hand Carved Wood Hand Painted Festival Folk Art Tribal Mask 18″ X 11″ – Tourist Trade Piece. I acquired this mask from a family who’s grandparents had brought it back from an trip into Mexico. I was told this mask was acquired from the Southern region i don’t know if its tied to the region as historical or if it was just acquired from a local. As for its authenticity it is 100% original, but i do not believe this mask has tribal affiliation i believe it to be used for festivals or its just antique tourist trade piece, either way this was hand made from the region and is fairly old even at 1937.
