ORIGINAL OIL ON CANVAS PAINTING. 19 3/4″ x 15 3/4″ sight size. 24″ x 20″ overall. Wonderful lighthearted satiric oil on canvas panel of a party of seven in colonial attire, with a server in attendance. A motherly figure looks on with a scowl. Laposka in the panel above the window. Framed in a brown and tan painted cove-molded frame. Gloria Laposka was a photographer and self taught artist, known for primitive realist works. Among other places, she has exhibited at the New York Museum of Modern Art. Her paintings often evince a delightful sense of humor. Even when a stroke resulted in a stay rehab facility, she continued to delight other residents with her works. No visible paint loss. Could us a light cleaning. A FINE 20TH CENTURY OIL ON CANVAS PANEL BY A WELL-KNOWN AMERICAN ARTIST.
