Blow Oskar painting by the legendary folk artist, RA Miller. A rare and most cool Blow Oskar painting by the late and legendary folk artist, R. If you are an REM fan, this is for you. Miller was born July 22, 1912, in Gainesville, Georgia. He left this orb on March 7, 2006. His specialty was whirligigs and the hillside next to his house was covered with colorful spinning windmills as he called them and metal cutouts and painted figures. His cut-out tin animals for which he is best known surrounded his house. He cut tin in the shape of animals, devils, angels, and’Blow Oskar’ (a mystical man who would blow his horn every time he passed by). He gained widespread fame in 1984 after the band REM filmed Left of Reckoning among Millers art. His art is highly-collected and he is considered one of the elder statesmen of Folk Art. Get it while you can. This painting is on a thin piece of wood and measures a perfect 16 x 12-1/2. If more time is necessary (due to tsunami, volcanic eruption, flu, winning the lottery), you will be notified. Item will be well-packaged.
