EARLY ANTIQUE FOLK ART AAFA WASH / PLANT STAND FOLDING TABLE ORIGINAL RED PAINT. Up for sale is this amazing old wash stand, plant stand or folding table. We’re not sure what it might have been used for but we are sure that it’s unique and beautiful! This is the real deal!! It’s old, it’s Primitive and it’s fabulous! 47″ L x 16 1/2″ W at the base of the legs by 19 H. It’s a rare, one-of-a-kind white low folding table or stand of some sort. It may have been a wash stand. It has splayed legs that fold out with little wood turns that hold the legs in place. Then the legs can be folded in and it condenses down. It doesn’t lay completely flat but it is close. In the top, on either the left or right board, there’s a handle cut out. This is to carry it by when it’s folded down. It’s very handy! The top boards are 2.75″ W x almost 1″ thick!! It’s a wonderful and nice red color and it appears to be the original paint. There are also some scratches, nicks, chips, surface rust, paint loss, old paint, hand rub wear, edge wear, paint marks and patina. These are all things you want to see in a true antique – don’t you just love it? ! ? ! It’s a very nice piece for your collection. Thank you for looking at this item. Andrzej Galek COSSACK CAMP Polish Reverse Glass Folk Art Painting 1960s. Mid Century painting on glass by artist Andrzej Galek depicting folklore from Poland Old Region of Tatra Mountains, three Cossacks involved in various camp activities, one man is digging the ground with a shovel, while another smoking a pipe watches, and another is drinking from a flask. Signature at bottom, A. Galek middle of painting (is faded, but still discernible). Wood framed entire piece measures 11″high x 12 7/8″wide. Very good condition, frame shows wear. Andrzej Galek, was a Polish artist and architect, sometimes known as Andrew Knob. Galek was honored by Poland’s Ministry of Art and Culture, and was the son of noted Polish artist, Stanislaw Galek/Knob. The artist passed away in 1993. This is an Estate Item, please see photos. This is an antique folk art painting of a handsome gentleman wearing a gold Masonic pin on his shirt. Horace Bunday (1814-83) is a well listed artist, best known for his portraits of prominent Americans, whose paintings regularly sell for thousands of dollars. Signed and dated on reverse “H Bundy / Painter / 55″, and stamped “RL & G DRAKE / ARTISTS DEPOT / TROY NY”. The portrait is encircled in a faux oval inner frame. The painting measures approximately 30″ x 25″. Condition: Very good overall condition, scattered minor losses along the edges, several light scratches to upper left (please see photos) and scattered areas of inpainting to clothing and background. OCTOPUS Alebrije Hand Painted Wood Carving Folk Art Oaxaca Mexico

This wonderful ocopus is a fine carving with beautiful detailed painting in shades of purple with white outlining. This sweet octopus has blue eyes and long eyelashes. The underside is bnlue with light purple dotwork. It’s a lovely piece. This octopus measures approximately 6″ around and 3 1/2″ tall. Alebrijes are Mexico’s fantastic, imaginative figures – they are often called “creatures of the dreams and the imagination”. They are hand-carved and hand-painted of copal wood in Central Mexico where I travel regularly to select affordable high quality and imaginative pieces. Aafa Antique Folk Art Apothecary Cabinet Old White Paint Make-do Drawers Wood

ADORABLE AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART APOTHECARY CABINET OLD WHITE PAINT MAKE-DO. Up for sale is this wonderful six-drawer apothecary cabinet. Isn’t it so cute! It has six equal sized drawers. The color of the cabinet is a nice white, it may have been painted in its lifetime but the paint still looks old. Each drawer has a little staple / metal pull. 23.5 W x 13 D without the knobs x 8 H. It’s a nice little size! The cabinet it made from plywood and is probably a “make do” cabinet from the Depression Era or between there and WWII. The top is one piece of wood and it doesn’t quite go all the way to the back of the cabinet as you can see in the close-up picture. This may have been done to make more than one of these together a stackable item. The entire cabinet has patina, marks. Paint loss, and worn finish as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age. The bottom of the cabinet has a little wood loss on the lower right front. The drawers are very clean inside and don’t have any smell or order to them. All the drawers work but a couple of them do stick a little. This is a very nice little apothecary cabinet! We don’t know the age of this cabinet but it looks old to us! You make the call. It is a wonderful and one of a kind item! There are nicks, scrapes, dings. Paint loss, paint chips, and worn finish as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age. We will do our best to answer your questions.
