Up for sale is this nicely-preserved hand-painted document or storage box from the mid-19th century. Made from pine with iron cut nails and cast iron hinges. Dimensions – 14-1/4″ long x 9-5/8″ wide x 8-1/2 tall. This exterior of the box exhibits beautiful green floral motifs and patterns. The inside of the box appears to have been “papered” with various types of wallpaper – most of which is now missing.
