It appears that this is most likely some sort of reproduction. I’m guessing this only based on the hardware screws and the shape of the nail heads. However as you can see it’s a very lovely piece. Turned Legs Front and Rear Beautiful Old Feather Grain Paint that is Reddish Brown over Yellow. Hand cut dovetail drawers with poplar as the secondary wood. There are drawer runner repairs and all drawers move smoothly. The walnut drawer knobs are new reproductions and blend in nicely. Originally, pieces like this were painted in vibrant colors where here, the original blue has faded beautifully reflecting its age. Notice in the close up photos the remains of a crown and date of 1807 on the bonnet, and traditional vases of flowers on the panel doors.
