It has some of the classic Fred Bonn features: Orange sky and sun, old car and smoke. Signed by Fred Bonn and dated it lower right hand corner. Has the original frame and tag from the artist shop. The painting is 10″ wide and 8″ tall. Has the original frame. You can see and feel the brush strokes, and the texture of the bushes. Condition: The painting needs a good cleaning, I do not know how to do this. The painting is a little loose in the frame. I have pictures that show some of the areas that need cleaning. There is a small area of damage on the upper edge, about in the middle. The frame has some dings. Terms of Sale: All sales are final unless the item is not as described. For sale is an Antique Primitive Folk Art Oil Painting of a couple standing on a bridge in the woods overlooking a rushing stream. This wonderful original painting is displayed in a wood frame with an overall measurement of 24 by 28. The image itself measures 19¼ by 23 ½. The painting is in lovely Antique condition with the expected wear for its age including some minor paint loss, wear on the frame, bumps in the canvas and craquelure in the paint. Amazing vintage piece of Haitian art signed St Vil Murat? Work is rather old and on stretched canvas. Colors are very bright and similar to the Neo-Mannerism of Ernie Barnes work. Depicts a colorful & abstract view of a Haitian market. There are a few small condition issues that I have photographed. Just a few small areas where paint has worn away and there may be a blemish here and there. Painting could use a slight cleaning. It displays wonderfully as is. Frame measures 20 1/2″ x 12 1/2″. Actual canvas work measures 15 3/4″ x 8″. It could stand to be re-framed as the actual work does not fit perfectly in current frame and is a bit loose. Amazing find from a Chicago area estate. Antique 18th Century Thomas Philips Folk Art Painting 1760 American Revolution

Here is an antique 18th century watercolor painting / drawing on handlaid paper, dated 1760, signed by Thomas Philips. The framed folk art piece depicts a woman in colonial dress and a uniformed gentleman soldier? With a short lyric / poem which states… Ppy he whose inclination, Warms but with a gentle heat, Never flies up to a passion, Loves a torment if too great. This painting has a hand tinted mat and was professionally framed in a vintage black and gold painted wood frame (some paint loss to frame). The mostly intact paper on the back of the frame still bears the stamp of the framer – Jacob Hefner, Metz Bldg, Grand Rapids, Mich. I have not removed the painting from the frame, and it is in the same condition as I originally found it. Dimensions of frame: nearly 13½” by 11½” (34.1 cm by 29 cm). Dimensions of visible painting image (mat opening): nearly 8¼” by 6¼” (20.8 cm by 15.7 cm). There is some faint wrinkling and some small pin holes in the paper (examples of these shown in close-up in photo #8), but there are no visible rips or tears. There are some dark spots and general discoloration to the paper and the ink (possibly iron gall ink), used for the border and the inscription has bled a bit over the past 250+ years. I have not been able to find the background story behind this painting, but from the date and the man in what appears to be a British uniform, I’m guessing it has something to do with a romantic relationship during the War of The American Revolution or maybe the Seven Years War. Any coins, rulers, or scales that may be shown in any photos are not included in the listing and are shown for reference only.
