AAFA ANTIQUE EARLY FOLK ART 1800 CUPBOARD PIE SAFE SQUARE NAILS DOVETAILED PAINT. Up for sale is this wonderful old primitive pie safe / cupboard. It’s a nice sized two door cabinet with a single drawer up above. On the sides, there are punched tins little stars on them as you can see in the pictures. They appear to be the original tins which are in good shape as you can see in the pictures but not without issues. There is a hole in the second tin on the left side. There’s some paint on the tins and some paint not on the tins. 38.75″ wide at the top by 16″ deep at the top it’s 50. It’s a wonderful Primitive red painted finish with the richness of the patina of age. The back is great looking and has stains and patina. It also has letters stenciled across the top of the back and they say “AWG”. There are square nails in the top along with rusty round nails. We took a close up picture for you. On the front, the left door has a crack / split in it in the middle and the right door has a crack / split along the right side. You can see these in the pictures. On the drawer, the left knob / pull is a mushroom style while the right one is not. There’s a little metal thumb turn on the doors and it has some marking, scarring and twisting marks from years of use. Inside there’s a latch bolt that apparently was added to keep the left door in place and then the thumb turn keeps the other door to the left door. The doors have Shaker style hinges. Inside there are three shelves which have patina and wear on them. The top is wood but is not painted. The drawers are not dovetailed. This is everything you’d expect to see from an old survivor cabinet like this! What a great look! The cabinet has some edge wear, scrapes, scratches, chunks of wood missing, chips, patina, fading, variation of color, mouse holes, rounding, and nicks. Aafa Early Antique Folk Art General Store Original Paint Square Nails Dovetailed

EARLY ANTIQUE FOLK ART PRIMITIVE WOOD DRY WRITING SLOPE SQUARE NAILS DOVETAILED. Up for sale is this wonderful old primitive writing slope or desk with cubbies or slots. This is an old, table top style desk. The lid lifts up but it doesn’t stay up by itself. We propped it up with a tube in the pictures and the tube it not included. Above the writing slope there are compartments for documents. There are 18 horizontal slots and one large area to the left. The big area to the left has 3 vertical slots but there are no dividers for those slots. This is an old desk with a great look! It’s a wonderful dry wood, greyish green painted alligatored and crackled color with wood undertones. It’s a very nice color. In some areas, it’s a lighter green, like across the front. Inside, it’s a little grungy and shows years of use and age. The paint appears to be all original and is dry, alligator, worn, rubbed, scraped, chipped, nicked, edge worn and patina-ed! This is everything you’d expect to see from an old survivor desk like this! What a great look! There are a couple of Shaker style metal hinges in the top so the top can hinge upward. On the front of the desk and in the top of the writing slope there are holes where there used to be a lock of some sort. The bottom of the desk is made from 3 boards and there is some separation between the boards as you can see in the pictures of the bottom and the pictures of the inside. The top of the cubbies is one board and that board has warped some over time as you can see in the pictures from the sides. We don’t know the age or origin of this cabinet but we do know that it’s adorable! Please see photos for accurate detail and description. ORIGINAL BLUE PAINT RARE ANTIQUE FOLK ART AAFA WOOD SPOON RACK HOLDER SQUARE NAILS, LARGE SIZE! Up for sale is this wonderful old spoon rack. It’s so rare to see a large one, and even. 25.75 L x 24.5 H x 7.75 D. It’s a nice blue and it’s worn and crackled in all the right ways. At the top shelf there is a place for a mortar and pestle. On that shelf there are spoon holder locations for 12 spoons. Then there’s another shelf and on that shelf there are another 12 spoon locations on the edge and 22 slots in the shelf for more spoons. Below that there is a wood bar that goes across the back. All in all it will hold 46 spoons. The paint is worn and faded and has some green undertones on one side. Underneath looks really old and aged as do the nails, of which some are square and some are round but all of them are rusty. The square nails are mostly on the front in the spoon holder areas. It has have some fading, crackling paint, edgewear, paint loss. On the back there are two newer brackets for which to hang it by. Early Aafa Antique Folk Art Cupboard Square Nail Dovetailed Original Paint Dated

EARLY AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART CUPBOARD SQUARE NAILS DOVETAILED ORIGINAL RED AND BLUE PAINT SIGNED AND DATED 1855. Up for sale is this fabulous old cabinet or cupboard. It’s a nice old cupboard with wonderful red and blue color. It’s a two-door cabinet with seven shelves inside. We don’t know how old it is, but it’s dated 1855 and looks early 1800’s to us! The cabinet is beautiful worn and patina-ed. The cabinet measures 61.25″ W x 40.75″ H x 15.5 D. All dimensions are without the molding. This old cabinet is a survivor. The back is made from four wide vertical boards as you can see in the pictures. There are big square nails along with other, smaller round nails, and some round nails too. There’s also a couple of places where there’s some old damage as you can see in the photos. The damage appears to be very old. It’s a wonderful dry wood and is a beautiful red color with blue trim and blue inside the doors. The paint appears to be all original. The top has a trim / molding on it but only across. The molding on the left and right sides is missing. The back is not painted. The paint is dry, worn, rubbed, scraped, chipped, nicked, faded, edge-worn. On the front doors, there are moldings on each door. The bottom moldings on the doors have lifted a little. There’s also a center astragal as you can see in the pictures. The knobs on the doors are mushroom-like. The knobs have worn over time and show it some. Around the knob on the left side there’s a lot of hand wear and the paint has worn off the door. On the top middle part of the doors there’s little floral motif in a cream color. Above the molding there is 18 on the left door and 55 on the right door. There are also initials, it appears to say L. The hinges are heavy forged iron hinges with big straps on the inside of the doors. There are big peened nails in the hinges as you can see in the pictures. On top you can see the big dovetails where the top is dovetailed in to the sides and vice versa. Inside the shelves are not all nailed in and some shelves are in two parts. The ledgers that hold the shelves appear to be very old if not original. You can see on the outside of the sides where some of the nails poked through. There is one newer board on the lower left inside. One shelf has a cabinet catch to hold the right door shut. With the astragal the right door hold the left door shut. And, there are some mouse holes. We have some felt pads on the bottom that you can see in the pictures. There are more pads on one side than the other. If you get the cabinet, it might need to be shimmed in order to get it more level. We don’t know the age or origin of this cabinet but we do know that it’s special! Please see photos for accurate detail and description. AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART BLUE PAINT WOOD WHEELBARROW GARDEN PRIMITIVE SQUARE NAILS. Up for sale is this wonderful old wheelbarrow. We don’t know the age or its origin, but it looks old to us. It’s so cute! It’s an old Federal blue that’s faded and worn. There’s also a little faded red trim / paint on the sides as you can see in the pictures. There’s a little decal on each side that was probably added later and is fairly well worn. It looks like an Indian to us. It measures 35 long x 12 wide at handles x 10.5 wide at front of the barrow and. High at highest point. I t’s been well used and loved over the years. The handles are worn, the sides have some scrapes, paint loss and wear. The inside shows some light grunge and use. The front axle looks a little crooked but it still rolls nicely. EARLY AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART AMERICAN APOTHECARY CABINET SQUARE NAILS GREEN PAINT. Up for sale is this wonderful twelve-drawer apothecary cabinet. It has 12 equal sized drawers each with its own cup handle style pull. The color is a dark green which is on the wood and handle parts. It has edge wear and the paint is scuffed. What a great look! The cabinet measures 31.75″ wide and 37″ high and 11.25 deep. The cabinet is very heavy and weighs a hefty xx lbs. ! The top is one piece of wood and it’s faded over the years. The back is a thin piece of wood and was likely replaced at some point. It’s very clean. The drawers are dovetailed and of solid wood. They have square nails in the sides as you can see in the pictures. Some of them have writing on them on the outside of the drawers which you can’t see once they are slid in to the cabinet. Some of the writing is in pencil and other writing is in crayon. You can see where a couple of drawers have issues like the upper right drawer where the top of the wood face came off and the bottom was glued back on. The light wood color appears to have been the color of the cabinet before it was painted. All the drawers work well, though. We don’t know the age of this cabinet but it looks old to us! You make the call. It is a wonderful and one of a kind item! There are nicks, scrapes, dings, edgewear, chunks, paint loss, paint chips, some chips on the sides near the bottom (probably from moving this around) and worn finish as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age. Early Aafa Antique Folk Art Original Paint Primitive Wood Dry Sink Square Nails

AMAZING AAFA 1800’S OLD PAINT DARK GREEN PRIMITIVE WOOD DRY SINK SQUARE NAILS. Up for sale is this wonderful old primitive dry sink. It’s a large two door cabinet with a dry sink above. It’s a really cool dry, dark green color with light green, persimmon and reddish undertones. There are other colors coming through the dark green paint as it appears to have been repainted but the green paint is still obviously very old. There is a neat looking persimmon or pumpkin color paint on the inside of the doors which may indicate that the entire cabinet. May have been that persimmon color at one point. Please see photos for the best description and accuracy. The paint appears to be all original and is dry, worn, rubbed, scraped, chipped, nicked, edge worn and patina-ed! There are also some cracks in the wood from age. This is everything you’d expect to see from an old survivor cabinet like this! What a great look! It’s an old dry sink and you can see the big gnarly square nails on the back. One goes through the side and that side piece of wood is missing and you can see the nail is a hefty long one. You can see this in one of the four-up pictures in the upper left picture. The square nails have big rusty heads on them. Down below on the back you can see a blue board. This appears to be a replacement board but is still the same thickness as the top board. In the bottom board there are round nails. The side back boards are a full 1 thick, wow!! The front boards are 7/8 thick. The right side board is sloped and there’s a chunk missing near the front board. We took a close-up picture of this. On the front the doors have old and heavy Shaker style hinges on them. The doors open and the left door’s bottom hinge is loose both at the screws and the hinges. There are newer cabinet clasps on the inside to hold the doors shut as you can see in the pictures (the silver things). You could leave the doors open and display crocks, or firkins or other wonderful items. There’s a mouse hole on the front doors as you can see in the pictures. There are a lot of old rusty nails as you can see in the pictures. Also, there’s a crack in the well of the dry sink but it is still sturdy and strong. There’s no paint in the well of the dry sink. The paint has some edge wear, scrapes, patina, fading, variation of color, wood showing through, chipping and nicks. Please see photos for accurate detail and description. The pictures are pretty good for the color, especially the close up ones. It’s a great old cabinet / cupboard!! The cabinet measures 58.75 W x 19.25″ D x 29.75″ H. EARLY AAFA FOLK ART ANTIQUE ORIGINAL HAND PAINTED MUSTARD WALL CABINET SQUARE NAILS. Up for sale is this wonderful single door wall cabinet. It’s all hand painted in a nice Primitive mustard color and has tremendous patina and wear. The cabinet measures 26.75″ high to the top and 21.5″ wide and. On the front it has a little twist latch. It’s a little wobbly but it works. The hinges are Shaker style hinges as you can see from the pictures. They appears to be the original hinges. Inside it has two shelves and is very clean. The back is made from horizontal tongue and groove boards. The very bottom board was likely replaced a long time ago and has some round nails in it. The other nails are all big gnarly rosehead square nails. Around the bottom of the cabinet there’s some wood rot, probably from years and years ago. Can you imagine filling this with grain and then going out to feed the animals and pulling the little slide up and letting some grain out for them? Wow, check out the great look to this one!! It has what appears to be its original paint that is old and dry as well as worn and patina-ed. It’s a dry aged oxblood red. This grain measure is very large and would make a statement centerpiece on your table! 9.75 inches long by 29.5 wide and is about 7.5 inches high at the highest point. The sides are curved in and one end has the slide gate that allows you to lift up the slide and let some grain out. It has old rusty square nails holding it together, how cool! Early Aafa Antique Folk Art Apothecary General Store Square Nails Original Paint

EARLY AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART APOTHECARY GENERAL STORE SQUARE NAILS ORIGINAL PAINT. Up for sale is this fabulous old and early primitive APOTHECARY CABINET or cupboard. It’s a nice old stepback and was likely a general store sales display cabinet. It’s an open cabinet above with three shelves above and 30 drawers down below. We don’t know how old it is, but it looks early 1800’s to us! It has big old SQUARE NAILS throughout and a wonderful ORIGINAL (old) GRAY PAINT with tons of character and patina. The cabinet measures 72.25″ H x 80.25″ W x 17.5″ D at the bottom and 8″ D at the top. This old cabinet is a survivor. The top part comes off the bottom part and is screwed in to the two pieces of wood near the back of the bottom piece. It has old slotted rusty screws that hold it together. The back at the top is made from five large boards. The back at the bottom is made from ten tongue and groove boards. There’s some damage on the back from critters, a tool or something. It has sat in our garage for two years and there was no evidence of any activity so whatever did the work on this was long gone. There are big gnarly SQUARE NAILS on the back and big iron spots on the wood as you can see in the pictures. Near the bottom it has a flared out trim. You can see in the pictures where a chunk of this is missing. There are also cracks in the trim. We recommend you put a piece of wood under one end when lifting the cabinet to help keep the trim from breaking. On the bottom, you can see the big gnarly SQUARE NAILS. It’s a wonderful dry wood and is a beautiful gray in color with OLD WORN PAINT. The paint appears to be all original to the cabinet. The top part of the right side does not have paint on it as you can see in the pictures. There are 8 drawers in each of the top three rows. The drawers are DOVETAILED on the sides as you can see in the pictures. The top row has one drawer that has three knobs but is one drawer. The middle knob on the drawer is darker and a different shape which likely means that it is not original to the piece. All the other knobs look original to us. A few of the knobs have nicks and chunks missing as you can see in the pictures. Here are little blocks of wood at the backs of the drawers that stop the drawers at the right spot. You can just open the drawers, move the wood back and then put the drawers back in. If you don’t move the cabinet around you shouldn’t have to mess with the little blocks. The back is not painted. The paint is dry, worn, rubbed, scraped, chipped, nicked, faded, edge. The inside is all original. On the shelves there are ring marks, stains, worn areas and PATINA. This is everything you’d expect to see from an old survivor cabinet like this! What a great look! We don’t know the age or origin of this cabinet but we do know that it’s special!! It is truly one-of-a-kind! We’ve not seen a nicer cabinet for sale online. Please see photos for accurate detail and description.
