The Genesis flood narrative through which God spares Noah, his family, and the animals from a world-engulfing flood. Signed MAVessey on the bottom right hand corner. The board measures 25 1/2″ x 21 1/4 “. In very good condition with some light paint scuffing to the wood. The wood has some natural irregularities. Mary Ann Vessey is a folk artist in Staunton Virginia. She paints rural landscapes and local Virginia and East Coast scenes. She is self taught artist. She began painting in the early 1980’s while she was at home caring for her children. She painted with acrylics in the beginning and occasionally with pastels, but now she uses oils most of the time.
