Early Aafa Antique Folk Art 1800s Bittersweet Blue Paint Dry Sink Square Nails

AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART 1800’s BITTERSWEET BLUE PAINT PRIMITIVE DRY SINK SQUARE NAILS WITH LINER. Up for sale is this wonderful old primitive dry sink. 48.25 w x 17.75 d x 37 h. It’s a nice sized two door cabinet with a shelf inside. It has outstanding bittersweet and blue colors on the outside. Even more-so, it’s a wonderful dry, soft buttercream / yellow color inside, including the shelf. Please see photos for the best description and accuracy. The paint appears to be all original and is dry, worn, rubbed, scraped, chipped, nicked, edge worn and patina-ed! There are also some cracks in the wood from age. This is everything you’d expect to see from an old survivor cabinet like this! What a great look! It’s an old dry sink and inside the top part there is the liner as you can see, very cool. The doors open and the left door has a metal latch and loop to hold it shut. Then when the right door closes, it latches with a little spring latch that has a cool old knob / turn also. You could leave the doors open and display crocks, or firkins or other wonderful items. The hinges are little rusty Shaker style hinges as you can see in the pictures. There are a lot of old rusty nails as you can see in the pictures. Many of them are square nails, especially on the front. Some are rusty and round while others are gnarly and rusty like roseheads. On the sides there are boot jacks that are whale tails. The paint has some edge wear, scrapes, patina, fading, variations of color, wood showing through, chipping and nicks. Aafa Folk Art Early Primitive Antique Old Wood Grey Original Paint Tote Tray

AAFA FOLK ART EARLY PRIMITIVE ANTIQUE OLD WOOD GREY ORIGINAL PAINT TOTE TRAY. Up for sale is this old antique tote with a handle. It’s wood and has splayed sides and a handle cut out on in the middle carry it by. It’s a low tray and has old grey paint with more paint remaining on the outside and a darker patine on the inside. You can see lots of wood color under the missing paint. On one end, near the handle, there’s a notch out of the end wood. Below the notch there’s another little hole. We’re not sure what these were for, perhaps a drain? , but they appear to have been intentional. There’s also a saw cut on this end where perhaps they started another notch and stopped. On the other end, right next to the handle there’s a slot. The nails are rusty but appear to all be round. There is a lot of edge wear, paint loss, nicks, scrapes, splatters, scratches, and dings. There is also a lot of iron spotting around the nails. On the bottom there is some green paint here and there. This looks to be something it may have been set in rather than paint that it was painted, but we’re not sure. All of these “issues” are just as you’d expect from an item of this age. 25.5 L x 12.25 W x 3.5 H to rim x 7.5 H to handle. It’s a very nice piece for your collection. American Antique Folk Art Pie Safe Apothecary Original White Alligator Paint

ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE FOLK ART PIE SAFE APOTHECARY ORIGINAL WHITE ALLIGATOR PAINT. Up for sale is this amazing old pie safe / apothecary cabinet. This is the real deal!! It’s old, it’s Primitive and it’s fabulous! H x 42.5 W at the top x 17.75 D at the top. We’ve had people take their time getting their shipper to come and get the items and it dings our ratings. And no, the barber pole is not for sale. It’s a nice two door pie safe above, with what appear to be the original screens and 5 drawers and one door down below. The hardware, hinges, and latches all match and appear to be original, which is rare! The doors each have little spring latches with a metal knob. The hinges are small butterfly hinges. The doors work well, but the left door hangs down a little bit so there’s a gap at the top and you kind of have to wiggle the latch a little to get it to latch. The right doors works fine. The drawers have cup-handle pulls on them. All of the hardware is old, worn, rusty and in places painted. The top of the cabinet is made from one big 7/8 thick board. The board has warped over the years and is raised in the center and at the front and back as you can see in the pictures. The top is not painted and you can see water marks and stains on the wood if you get up above the cabinet. There have been some newer screws added to the top. You cannot see the top when just looking at the cabinet unless you are really really tall. There’s also a good sized chunk of wood out of one part of the top and we took a close-up picture of that too. The bottom has some wear to it and the right side may need a shim. You can see some of the wear in the bottom picture on the right side. The back is made from boards and thin little battens. Some parts of the battens have broken off as you can see in the pictures but the cabinet is still sturdy. And, this cabinet is heavy for its size. Most of the main wood on this cabinet is 7/8 thick. It’s an old white paint and is a little more off-white inside and the shelves are not painted. Some of the shelves come out and the one in the bottom is kind of in there crooked. It looks to be the way it was built! The doors are held together with little cabinet corner braces. There are also some scratches, nicks, chips, surface rust, paint loss, alligator paint, crackle, hand rub wear, edge wear, paint marks and patina. These are all things you want to see in a true antique – don’t you just love it? ! ? ! It’s a very nice piece for your collection. Thank you for looking at this item. ANTIQUE FOLK ART 1800’s 24 DRAWER APOTHECARY ORIGINAL GREY PAINT SQUARE NAILS. Up for sale is this amazing apothecary or work cabinet. This is the real deal!! It’s old, it’s Primitive and it’s fabulous! It’s heavy too! It measures 30.25. H x 29 W x 10.5 D at the top. It’s 27.25″ W x 9.5″ D at the cabinet. It’s a nice 24 drawer cabinet. The top 5 rows are all about the same size, and bottom row is a little bit taller drawers. All but one of the drawers is painted in a grey / silver color. This appears to be the original paint. The one upper right unpainted drawer has some of the grey paint on it but most of it is gone. The drawers have cup-handle pulls on them. All of the hardware is old, worn, rusty and in places painted. All of the handles are a similar style with 22 of them matching. Two of them (upper right and bottom row) are similar but different and in a different place on the drawer. It adds a nice “make do” look to this cabinet. There are lots of square nails in this cabinet and it is heavy! The main members of wood at 3/4 thick! It weighs in at 58 lbs. On top it’s not painted and it has a lot of patina from the years. And, at the right side, there’s a chunk of wood missing as you can see in the close-up pictures. The bottom has some wear / damage to it and we took some close-ups of that too. It still sits strong and these issues don’t appear to affect it. There are scratches, nicks, chips, paint loss, alligator paint, crackle, hand rub wear, edge wear, paint marks and patina. These are all things you want to see in a true antique – don’t you just love it? ! ? ! It’s a very nice piece for your collection. Thank you for looking at this item. Aafa Antique Folk Art Apothecary Cabinet Original Knobs Black Paint Old Crates

AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART APOTHECARY CABINET ORIGINAL BLACK PAINT OLD CRATES. Up for sale is this wonderful 15-drawer apothecary cabinet. It is so amazing! Isnt it so cute! All of the little drawers are equal sized and each has a little porcelain knob or pull. The color of the cabinet and drawers is a nice old black. What a great look! 15 w x 8.25 d (9.25 with knobs) x 10.75 h and the inside of the little drawers are 3.75 w x 7.375 d x 1.25 h. The top, back and sides of the cabinet are painted black also. The entire cabinet has patina, marks, paint loss (especially on the two sides), and worn finish as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldnt expect from an item of this age. The drawers are very clean inside and all of the drawers work well. The drawers are made from old cigar crates / boxes as you can see in the pictures. Some of the drawers have labels on them. One says Factory No. 1471 , 1st District, State of PA. The drawers have a gap in the bottom of them as you can see in the pictures. To fix this, someone made little masonite inserts for the drawers. The undersides of the masonite are a blue-green color. This is a very nice little apothecary cabinet! There are nicks, scrapes, dings, paint loss, paint chips, and worn finish as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldnt expect from an item of this age. Thank you for looking at this item. Aafa Folk Art Antique Primitive Bucket Bench Wood Original Blue Paint Mortised

AAFA FOLK ART ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE BUCKET BENCH WOOD ORIGINAL BLUE PAINT MORTISED. Up for sale is this wonderful one of a kind bucket bench. It’s old, and it has a very slight wobble from side to side, but it’s adorable and nice painted blue color with lots of age and patina! The shelves are mortised into the sides of the bucket bench as you can see in the pictures. The shelves are aged as you can see and the wood has wear, thin cracks, paint loss and patina on them. The sides have a nice scalloped top to them and the bottoms have whale tail boot jack style bases. On the right side leg the wood has worn away and through the paint in one spot. We don’t what this is from but it’s scratched through the paint layer and is in to the wood layer. This is truly a one-of-a-kind item! The bucket bench measures. 53 H in back x 39.5 W x 10 D. We don’t know the age of this item. There are nicks, scrapes, small cracks, edge wear, paint loss, paint drips, fading, dings and worn paint as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age.
