This primitive, portrait was created by an itinerant artist of the day. The painting is unsigned as were many of this period. This portrait is beautifully done. &###xA0; The sitter is smiling does she have a secret? Notice the wonderful detail on the lace and ribbons of her dress, &##xA0. Also the detailed expression on her face and beautiful eyes. This indicates a higher price was paid for this portrait. We’d obviously love to attribute this portrait to a particular artist; any ideas? She has two Wedding rings, indicating she is on her second marriage. Framed in a Period style Birdseye maple frame with a gold fillet.
