On the back is an old newsprint glued to the frame many years ago. The newsprint is in German. 13 inches tall by 15.25 inches wide outside overall front dimensions. We are pleased to offer you this 19th Century Pennsylvania German Fraktur or Birth Record. This Fraktur is dated September 13, 1843 and is from Lebanon County, PA. This was for the daughter of Jacob Shram…. What a great printed piece from G. Peters of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. E Pluribus Enum with Bald Eagle, Angel with harps, brids, fruits and flowers, along with hand colored accents. The frame is craft made hand painted in Pa. Original framed oil painting by Kowalski on canvas of winter village theme. The artist has signed the painting in the lower right hand corner “Kowalski”. The painting measures approx. 19.5″ by 23.5″ with the frame 27 by 31. Painting is in good condition with minor scratches on the upper left corner side of painting. The deep carved wood frame with linen matting is in good condition as well. Please take a good look at the photos as they constitute the remainder of our description. The artist was born in Sopron in Hungary in 1926. He was a student of the Academy of Budapest andduring the uprising in 1956 against Communism he escaped from Hungary to Vienna. He has become internationally known for his (typically East European style) “Naive” paintings depicting Village life in the four seasons in glorious colour. Children especially like his works as each one tells a story. He has exhibited in many Galleries throughout Europe, particularly in Munich, Vienna, Tokyo, and Harrods in London. C1830 Outstanding Wide American Lemon Gilded Folk Primitive Portrait Ogee Frame

This is an excellent c1830 American gilded frame. Original bright, gilded surface with excellent worn patina and bole reveal on 3 wide ogee molding. The frame is in great condition with minor wear/losses and measures 17 3/4 x 25 1/2 with a 12 3/4 x 20 1/2 rabbet. Cut down from a larger size at some point this frame has mitered corners and repainted ochre sides. This is an outstanding period lemon gild. Here is a very nice antique gentleman oil portrait painting. It is framed in its original gilt gold , heavy compo/gesso frame. The man has a Napoleon style hair cut and a dark blue jacket on. His inner vest is a light blue and his. The entire piece measures 18 1/4 x 20 1/4 in. The canvas only measures 12 1/8 x 13 7/8 in. Fair/good as is vintage condition. Some gilt paint overlay chipped/worn off in spots. Painting has mild crazing, nail hole thru top right, and bottom right. I say all this but the item dates to the 1830-40s so almost 200 years old soon. Not new, not perfect. The man is painted in a folk art style. All pictures to judge condition. Here is a American original antique oil portrait painting in a large Ogee wood frame. The woman depicted is a pretty woman with a dark red dress on. She has black hair styled with ringlets. The only jewelry she has on is a large jewel brooch/pin at the center of her neckline. There is no signature which was common back then. The frame is magnificent. A beautiful large, wide ogee wood frame. Very heavy and substantial. The entire piece measures 24 1/4 x 30 in. And canvas only measures 18 x 24 in. The item is in good as is vintage condition with only minor chips to the frame and some typical crazing throughout the artwork.
