Antique Primitive Fishing Lure Folk Art Jointed Hand Painted Fish Decoy. I’m pleased to offer this large and very early 3-hook jointed pike fishing lure. 3-pc carved wood body and jointed with forged iron straps and square rivet pins. Retains it’s original hardware and hand painted design. Crackle surface patina and traces of original gold leaf. Probably 19th century, a true work of folk art Americana! Unknown maker but clearly from a master workshop. Likely a small regional maker and produced in scarce numbers. 19th Century American Antique Landscape/Seascape Painting On Canvas. Canvas measures about 23″ x 34 1/2″. NOTE: SHIPS WITHOUT THE FRAME, FRAME IS TOO DAMAGED AND IS JUST TO SHOW HOW WE GOT IT. Oil on stretched canvas. The canvas has nice heavy paint texture throughout. Some alligatoring (craquelure) in spots, and one small tear/hole in sky. May have older touch ups in sky. Has some light paint overspray, (tiny white specks resting on surface) from careless housepainters painting near it sometime in its past. Could be professionally cleaned off if you ever had it cleaned. We have not cleaned it as the losses are somewhat expected being a 120+ year old painting. And they do not detract from everyday enjoyment at normal viewing distances. The painting has a great overall patina and aura about it, and will surely add interest to your home decor. RARE 1880s O/C FOLK ART STILL LIFE PAINTING HANGIN TROUT FISH FISHING ADIRONDACK

This is a rare and fantastic, super nice piece of early American primitive folk art. An oil on canvas still life painting, ca 1880’s to 1890’s, depicting a string – or 2 sticks really, of speckled trout. Quite possibly upstate NY or New Hampshire but could be from anywhere with woods and fish. The painting has nice colors with a great subject matter. It is a fresh find gleaned from a long time private collection, and comes in sweet, as found condition, with no cleaning or restoration of any kind on my or the previous owners end. Attic fresh so to speak. It comes framed in a period Adirondack type wooden Oak & Gesso frame with old stretcher & with old nails, all appropriate to the time period. The stretcher was a little loose in the frame so a couple modern screws were added to the back of the frame to better secure the painting. This can be easily changed should someone wish to. The painting is unsigned but seems pretty well done. Framed it is 25.5 tall and 17.5. Not much of any issues at all for its age, just one little stretcher edge split in the canvas as pictured… About 3/4 long and some lite finish wear. This painting will make a nice addition to any folk art collection or to any wall in general. Its a nice find! Any questions PLEASE ask! Antique VICTORIAN Folk ART PRIMITIVE Large Landscape BOY FISHING Oil Painting

Here is a large antique oil on canvas painting of a Hudson River primitive/fol art style landscape painting. It depicts a older boy who appears to have been out fishing with a large pole. He is looking out at the lake and there is some storm/rain clouds behind him. The entire piece measures 28 1/2 x 33 3/8 in, in total size and canvas alone measures 25 1/8 x 30 1/8 in. The painting is framed in its original lemon gold antique picture frame. I do not see a signature and it looks to be a folk art/primitive style painting. The back shows two patches that must have been professional repairs as I can’t really detect them from the front. The painting is in fair/good as is vintage condition with some scrapes at the side left bottom, some wear in a few other ares, minor scrapes, and the frame has the typical scrapes and pitting of original lemon gold frames. Please enlarge all pictures to see if condition suits you. The only history I have on this item is that it came out of a home in Aiken , South Carolina and was supposed to have always been in one family.
