Please see close up images for actual colors and clarity. Gorgeous vintage signed still life oil painting on canvas panel, of a landscape scene. Condition is good and clean on front for the age, with slight wear in some small places on edges, MODERATE bowing. Paintings is NOT warped, but is SERIOUSLY BOWED. I cannot say whether a frame shall or shall not straighten out the painting, if simply place in one. A professional framer can straighten out this painting in a frame, if you so choose. Overall size is 16 inches by 20 inches. Artist is Ann Cusick of Rhode Island. Provenance of the scene is this is Cumberland, Rhode Island. I also wrote provenance on back. Cumberland Rhode Island was settled originally as part of Rehoboth, MA. The property was eventually transferred to Rhode Island and named in honor of Prince William, Duke of Cumberland. Here is a beautiful folk art winter scene. Looks like New England scene rolling hills church with Steeple man walking with his dog! What more can you ask for? Has a close look to Grand Ma Moses. In my eyes its appears to be a watercolor but I’m not a expert in art and or paints. The piece is very large measures about 33 1/2″ X 25 1/2″. The signature reads Ortel Ontel or Omtel not sure and its not dated. Based on the framer’s label on the back its early 1960’s and or earlier. Its in very good condition the large Christmas trees in the front the paint is thick and shows some crackling see last photo. But real a good looking winter scene. Antique 19th Century New England Winter Landscape Folk Art Oil Painting Signed

Antique 19th century, c1850s, original New England folk art oil painting. Depicts a winter landscape scene complete with a large house on a lake. The lake is surrounded by detailed trees and foliage; another house can be seen further down with trees disappearing into the horizon. Above the scene a dark sky can be noted with ominous clouds rolling through. Very well done with super detail, especially in the trees and plants. Boasts great capture of light, depth and shadow. Medium is oil on canvas done in a Folk Art style. Canvas affixed to early stretcher bars with antique nails. Signed by the artist in the bottom right corner. Looks to read O. Battis ; worthy of further research. Has a great patina with lots of age toning and cracking to the paint which is typical of a piece with this much age. In my opinion the toning and cracking add to the character of the piece and enhance it by acting as a testament to its age and authenticity. Two small puncture holes along the right side but not noticeable until a closer inspection is done (see photo 8). Small knick to center of the painting. Eye catching and appealing. The pictures do not do justice to this box. The background color is a beautiful Shaker Blue with mustard banding and star decorations in mustard with red highlights. The box is constructed of antique vintage pine and early nails. The paint decoration is a newer addition. It measures 6-1/2″ long x 2-1/4″ tall x 3-1/8 wide. Pine double wall box in old blue/grey paint. Nicely proportioned double wall box with stepped front panels. The paint is guaranteed old with some in-painting and touch-up along with some nail holes filled as well. The back, bottom and sides are constructed of 3/4″ pine while the front panels are 1/2″ pine. This is a reconstruction made from antique pine with old original paint. Rustic with lots of bumps and bruises and scratches. It measures 11″ wide x 14-12″ tall x 4-1/4 deep (front to back).
