AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART 1800’s BITTERSWEET BLUE PAINT PRIMITIVE DRY SINK SQUARE NAILS WITH LINER. Up for sale is this wonderful old primitive dry sink. 48.25 w x 17.75 d x 37 h. It’s a nice sized two door cabinet with a shelf inside. It has outstanding bittersweet and blue colors on the outside. Even more-so, it’s a wonderful dry, soft buttercream / yellow color inside, including the shelf. Please see photos for the best description and accuracy. The paint appears to be all original and is dry, worn, rubbed, scraped, chipped, nicked, edge worn and patina-ed! There are also some cracks in the wood from age. This is everything you’d expect to see from an old survivor cabinet like this! What a great look! It’s an old dry sink and inside the top part there is the liner as you can see, very cool. The doors open and the left door has a metal latch and loop to hold it shut. Then when the right door closes, it latches with a little spring latch that has a cool old knob / turn also. You could leave the doors open and display crocks, or firkins or other wonderful items. The hinges are little rusty Shaker style hinges as you can see in the pictures. There are a lot of old rusty nails as you can see in the pictures. Many of them are square nails, especially on the front. Some are rusty and round while others are gnarly and rusty like roseheads. On the sides there are boot jacks that are whale tails. The paint has some edge wear, scrapes, patina, fading, variations of color, wood showing through, chipping and nicks. Please see photos for accurate detail and description. The pictures are pretty good for the color, especially the close up ones. This is a great dry sink! AAFA FOLK ART EARLY PRIMITIVE ANTIQUE OLD WOOD GREY ORIGINAL PAINT TOTE TRAY. Up for sale is this old antique tote with a handle. It’s wood and has splayed sides and a handle cut out on in the middle carry it by. It’s a low tray and has old grey paint with more paint remaining on the outside and a darker patine on the inside. You can see lots of wood color under the missing paint. On one end, near the handle, there’s a notch out of the end wood. Below the notch there’s another little hole. We’re not sure what these were for, perhaps a drain? , but they appear to have been intentional. There’s also a saw cut on this end where perhaps they started another notch and stopped. On the other end, right next to the handle there’s a slot. The nails are rusty but appear to all be round. There is a lot of edge wear, paint loss, nicks, scrapes, splatters, scratches, and dings. There is also a lot of iron spotting around the nails. On the bottom there is some green paint here and there. This looks to be something it may have been set in rather than paint that it was painted, but we’re not sure. All of these “issues” are just as you’d expect from an item of this age. 25.5 L x 12.25 W x 3.5 H to rim x 7.5 H to handle. It’s a very nice piece for your collection. AMAZING AAFA 1800’S ORIGINAL PAINT YELLOW BLUE EARLY PRIMITIVE WOOD DRY SINK. Up for sale is this wonderful old primitive dry sink. It’s a nice sized two door cabinet with a shelf inside. It’s a wonderful dry, soft yellow color with blue and wood undertones. There is paint coming through the yellow paint. There is a wonderful blue paint on the inside of the doors which may indicate that the entire cabinet. May have been blue at one point and the outside yellow was the secondary color. Please see photos for the best description and accuracy. The paint appears to be all original and is dry, worn, rubbed, scraped, chipped, nicked, edge worn and patina-ed! There are also some cracks in the wood from age. This is everything you’d expect to see from an old survivor cabinet like this! What a great look! It’s an old dry sink and you can see that there’s even a drain / hole on the right side in the back. We took a close up picture of this. The pictures are pretty good for the color, especially the close up ones. It’s a great old cabinet / cupboard!! The cabinet measures 41.5 W x 18.5″ D x 29.75″ H. Wonderful early 19th century tin toleware document box. Great folk art look. New York State in origin. Larger than often found, it has a domed hinged lid and is complete with its hinges, top brass handle, and clasp closure. It is wonderfully hand painted with a beautiful mustard yellow and red floral pattern with various painted motifs all around. The left side shows no evidence of paint decoration, and must have either never been painted or it has completely worn off. Measures 9 9 3/4 inches across by 5 3/4 inches deep by 7 1/4 inches tall. Wonderful early 19th century tin toleware document box. Great folk art look. New York State in origin. This is an early 16 1/2 inch American Cloth doll with oil painted head. The seam runs down both sides and down the back of the head. The hair and facial features are very nicely painted. The body is cloth with separately stitched fingers. Painted areas show wear, but is all original. Dressed in her original hand stitched dress, apron and socks have been replaced.
