HUGE Original OIL PAINTING Folk ART PENNSYLVANIA Americana. Description A gorgeous oil painting picked up at a Pennsylvania estate that is quite old. 42 by 36 1/2 inches oil painting. Really a great painting in an original hand carved frame. Frame is chipping and finish is coming off. Gorgeous as is but could definitely use some TLC if you are up for it. Couple tears repaired and overpainted as can be seen from the photo. Gap between canvas and frame but held in place. This one will light up any wall. Probably a clergy portrait but might be a family portrait from late 18th century. Label on the back refers to a well known frame maker in the UK. BOOK WILL BE HONESTLY MARKED ON ALL CUSTOM FORMS! The painting probably dates to the mid 19th century and is painted either a cut down artist board or on canvas and then laid down on board. Great Vintage Americana Folk Art Naive Winter Farm Landscape Oil Painting AAFA

Here’s a Great Vintage circa 1950 Folk Art Painting of a Busy Winter Farm. This painting is on a 16″ by 20″ canvas board which is bowed. It’s not too bad so you can put it into a frame and flatten it out. The outer edges have paint residue I guess from someone painting a now missing frame. That should mostly be covered by the new frame. Pictures 6 and 7 show what maybe a very shallow scratch across the sky, I think it would clean up but I didn’t touch it. Great acrylic on canvas painting of mans best friend. There is no artist signature or date. The canvas, style and provenance of the painting help me date it some time around the late 19th century. Measures 17 1/4 x 14. There is a small nick to the canvas below the dogs collar (see pics). Scuff and ware present to sides, top and bottom of canvas.
