This unique piece of folk art is by artist Theodore Degroot. It is vintage from the 1970’s based on the info I could find. It is signed on the bottom. The art features a farm scene with hills and a little cow and a wooden fence. The unique way that the artist has composed the piece is the real beauty. This painted piece is also a mosaic of wood slats. I personally had never seen anything like it and stood in awe imagining the time and effort that went into creating the canvas of wood and painting and fitting it all together to create this beautiful piece. Artists truly inspire me. It is really a wonderful piece and a great size too. It is 37″ x 25″ and about 2 deep. The Lath art stamp is on the paper backing as well. Truly a stunning piece of art and one you will enjoy puzzling over as you examine all the little touches throughout.
