This is a charming and whimsical Antique Old American Folk Art Nautical Boy Portrait Oil Painting on wood, depicting a young and finely dressed blond haired and blue-eyed boy, setting near a coastal shoreline. Signed: “Ginny” in the lower right corner. I could not find any information on this artist, but perhaps you know more about her or her work? This piece likely dates to the 1930’s – 1940’s. Approximately 15 1/4 x 20 3/4 inches, and 3/4 of an inch thick. Good condition for decades of age and storage, with some moderate edge wear, some light scuffing and scratches to the painted surface, and some speckles of paint loss throughout. Acquired in Los Angeles County, California, but I suspect this artwork originated from the Northeastern United States. If you like what you see, I encourage you to make an Offer.
