OOAK ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE FOLK ART AAFA PIE SAFE ORIGINAL BLUE ALLIGATOR PAINT ORIGINAL SCREENS!!! Up for sale is this amazing old pie safe. This is the real deal!! It’s old, it’s Primitive and it’s fabulous! 37 1/4″ W x 40.5″ H x 10.75 D. It’s a rare, one-of-a-kind white, folksy, screened pie safe. It has two doors on it with old Shaker style hinges as you can see in the pictures. The doors work well and the right door has a little wood thumb turn at the top to hold it shut against the cabinet. The cabinet then has a piece of wood down the middle of the cabinet. The left door does not have a thumb turn that holds the left door shut but it doesn’t open on it’s own for us. The doors are old. And there’s a little play in the doors on the hinges and when they are closed. The doors are 3/4 thick. It’s a wonderful and nice blue color. The screens are old, out of shape, a little rusty, perhaps have some paint on them and have a few holes here and there. Inside there are three shelves and they are a grungy, worn and well-used white. The shelves are slightly over 3/4 thick. The back is made from 4 old, wide and cracked boards and one across the top. There are big square nails in the boards on the back and and most of them are painted over in the color of the back which is a lighter, and probably newer blue than the front as it’s not alligatored or crackled like the blue on the front. The top is not painted but is very aged and has rusty nails. There are also some scratches, nicks, chips, surface rust, paint loss, alligator paint, crackle, hand rub wear, edge wear, paint marks and patina. These are all things you want to see in a true antique – don’t you just love it? ! ? ! It’s a very nice piece for your collection. Thank you for looking at this item. AAFA EARLY FOLK ART ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE WALL CABINET CUPBOARD OLD BLUE PAINT. Up for sale is this adorable wall cabinet or cupboard. It’s a wonderful deep blue color. It has a single door and scroll top. There’s a super cute little mushroom handle, Shaker style hinges and a thumb-turn metal spin latch. The top metal hinge pin is a long nail. The cabinet measures 19 H to the main part of the cabinet and 23.75 H to the top x 12 W x 6 D. This cabinet would work nicely as a medicine cabinet in a bathroom or just as a nice display piece on the wall. There are two large holes in the scroll top probably from where it was hung on the wall. The cabinet is old, but we don’t know how old. The paint is old and crackled with blue on top with green and wood color undertones. The back of the cupboard is wood and it made from 3 pieces of wood as you can see in the pictures. The nails are rusty, old and round. Inside there’s two shelves, three sections total. The inside is painted and off-white with stains, streaks, chips, edgewear and obvious wear from use and age. Early Aafa Antique Folk Art Cupboard Square Nail Dovetailed Original Paint Dated

EARLY AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART CUPBOARD SQUARE NAILS DOVETAILED ORIGINAL RED AND BLUE PAINT SIGNED AND DATED 1855. Up for sale is this fabulous old cabinet or cupboard. It’s a nice old cupboard with wonderful red and blue color. It’s a two-door cabinet with seven shelves inside. We don’t know how old it is, but it’s dated 1855 and looks early 1800’s to us! The cabinet is beautiful worn and patina-ed. The cabinet measures 61.25″ W x 40.75″ H x 15.5 D. All dimensions are without the molding. This old cabinet is a survivor. The back is made from four wide vertical boards as you can see in the pictures. There are big square nails along with other, smaller round nails, and some round nails too. There’s also a couple of places where there’s some old damage as you can see in the photos. The damage appears to be very old. It’s a wonderful dry wood and is a beautiful red color with blue trim and blue inside the doors. The paint appears to be all original. The top has a trim / molding on it but only across. The molding on the left and right sides is missing. The back is not painted. The paint is dry, worn, rubbed, scraped, chipped, nicked, faded, edge-worn. On the front doors, there are moldings on each door. The bottom moldings on the doors have lifted a little. There’s also a center astragal as you can see in the pictures. The knobs on the doors are mushroom-like. The knobs have worn over time and show it some. Around the knob on the left side there’s a lot of hand wear and the paint has worn off the door. On the top middle part of the doors there’s little floral motif in a cream color. Above the molding there is 18 on the left door and 55 on the right door. There are also initials, it appears to say L. The hinges are heavy forged iron hinges with big straps on the inside of the doors. There are big peened nails in the hinges as you can see in the pictures. On top you can see the big dovetails where the top is dovetailed in to the sides and vice versa. Inside the shelves are not all nailed in and some shelves are in two parts. The ledgers that hold the shelves appear to be very old if not original. You can see on the outside of the sides where some of the nails poked through. There is one newer board on the lower left inside. One shelf has a cabinet catch to hold the right door shut. With the astragal the right door hold the left door shut. And, there are some mouse holes. We have some felt pads on the bottom that you can see in the pictures. There are more pads on one side than the other. If you get the cabinet, it might need to be shimmed in order to get it more level. We don’t know the age or origin of this cabinet but we do know that it’s special! Please see photos for accurate detail and description. Early Aafa Antique Folk Art Cupboard White Pie Safe Punched Tin Old Paint Wood

OOAK ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE 19th CENTURY WHITE PIE SAFE WITH PUNCHED TIN ORIGINAL PAINT. Up for sale is this amazing old pie safe. This is the real deal!! It’s old, it’s Primitive and it’s fabulous! It’s a rare, one-of-a-kind white, punched tin pie safe. It has two doors on top, a drawer, and two doors on the bottom. The upper doors have rusty and faded punched tins as you can see. The cabinet is mostly a white /off-white color but there are undertones of wood, and light green or blue. What paint is left is alligatored and worn. It measures 70.5″ H x 37.75″ W at the main cabinet by 14.75 D not including the top trim or knobs. There are cabinet and drawer pulls and all of them are brown and mushroom style as you can see in the pictures. The two on the drawer are the same but the others are similar but different. The upper one on the door has a washer on the inside as you can see in the pictures. On the cabinet doors, it has a piece of wood / thumb turn to hold the doors shut on both of the right doors as you can see in the pictures. The bottom thumb turn looks newer and has a newer screw. There are two shelves in the upper part and one shelf in the bottom part. The inside of the upper doors are white and tin while the bottom doors are tan painted wood. We don’t know the age of this pie safe but most of them are from before 1900. You can see the wear, age and patina on the wood, wow!! There are scratches, nicks, chips, surface rust, paint loss, hand rub wear, edge wear, paint marks, swirls, and patina. These are all things you want to see in a true antique – we love it!! The hinges are little rusty shaker style hinges and the upper right door, upper hinge has nails in it that get a little loose with wear and then the door gets a little loose. You can just tap these nails back in and you’re good for a while more. The sides have a wonderful whale tail boot jack and there’s a crack in the center of the tail developing. They are still sturdy but you can see the crack. The back is made of three boards and two battens and there is an old metal repair on the left side. The back has old rusty round nails and black iron spots from the nails on the wood. On the left side there’s a gap at the edge and we took a picture of that. The top is not painted and has warped a little toward the front on both sides. We took a picture of that also. It’s a very nice piece for your collection. Thank you for looking at this item. Early Aafa Antique Folk Art Cabinet Cupboard Square Nails Orig Blue Paint Repair

EARLY AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART CABINET CUPBOARD SQUARE NAILS ORIG BLUE PAINT REPAIR. Up for sale is this fabulous old primitive cabinet or cupboard. It’s a nice old cupboard with wonderful color. It’s a two-door cabinet with three shelves inside. We don’t know how old it is, but it looks early 1800’s to us! The cabinet is a beautiful worn, chipped and patina-ed Federal blue. The cabinet measures 64.5″ W (without top trim) x 48.75″ H (with top trim) x 17.75 D (without top trim). This old cabinet is a survivor. The back is made from thirteen tongue and groove boards as you can see in the pictures. There are big square nails along with other, smaller square nails, and some round nails too. You can see the iron spotting from the nails on the wood. There’s also a couple of repairs on the lower right along with rough wood as you can see in the pictures. It’s a wonderful dry wood and is a beautiful blue in color with old worn paint. The paint appears to be all original on the front and right side (the right side is mostly painted but some wood only). The left side is just wood (no paint) as you can see in the pictures. The right side has the top trim while the left side does not. The left side may be where it was built in since it is unpainted. The back is not painted. The paint is dry, worn, alligatored, rubbed, scraped, chipped, nicked, faded, edge. On the front, in the middle, the board there is loose and has a mouse hole in it. You could probably add a nail to fix that up. The hardware is old and the knobs are nicely detailed. You twist the knobs to release them from their catches. The left knob does not “spring back” as much as the one on the right does as it’s likely a bit more worn. The top is a darker brown color and has some cracks in the wood as shown in the pictures. The inside looks all original with great patina too! There are ring marks, stains, worn areas and lighter areas. You can see the repair at the bottom in the middle where a board was added. There is also a metal repair on the left side on the middle shelf. This is everything you’d expect to see from an old survivor cabinet like this! What a great look! Aafa Antique Folk Art Cabinet Cupboard Old Pumpkin Blue Red Paint Rosehead Nail

AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART CABINET CUPBOARD ORIGINAL PUMPKIN PAINT ROSEHEAD NAILS. Up for sale is this fabulous old primitive cabinet or cupboard. It’s a nice old two-door cabinet with shelves inside. We don’t know how old it is, but it looks early 1800’s to us! The cabinet has beautiful dry chippy pumpkin paint with red. Blueish-grey undertones showing through. This old cabinet is a survivor. The back is made from tongue and groove slats as you can see in the pictures. The back has various rusty nails in it including some gnarly looking square? Nails that we call roseheads, where they look all blistered or something. There’s a mouse hole on the back near the upper right. The cabinet doors have strap style hinges with slotted screws. The hinges look to be the original hinges as we don’t see any place else where hinges were. The front doors are that blue color on the inside and have horizontal braces that have nails coming through from the face of the doors and then are bent over on the inside of the door. The doors work nicely and there’s a little wooden. To hold the right doors shut. We don’t know if the. Is original as there’s a spot above where it looks like another one may have been at some point. It’s a wonderful dry wood and is predominantly the pumpkin color with old worn paint. The paint appears to be very old and of course is at least the third coat, being that you can see blue and red coats also. Scrapes, patina, fading, and is dry, worn, rubbed, scraped, chipped, flaked, nicked, edge-worn. This is everything you’d expect to see from an old survivor cabinet like this! What a great look! We don’t know the age or origin of this cabinet but we do know that it’s special!! It leans a little to the left and has some pads under the left side to help it. You might need to shim it depending on your floor and your tolerance for things being not straight completely. If you love the cabinet, you know they’re not perfect.
