AMERICAN FOLK ART OIL PAINTED RAG DOLL. Circa: 1900 – 1920. This doll is from a smoke free home and has no odors. I sure wish she could speak and tell you her life history. This cloth doll is 23 inches tall. She is an American Folk Art make-do oil painted rag doll. Painted face over litho rag doll. I would say that she was made in the early 1900’s. For being this old, she is in generally excellent condition. She has some cracking on top and back of her head. Sometime she lost an upper arm that has been replaced. Her facial painting is good. She wears a vintage dress/play suit (it buttons around her legs). She is an interesting very well done example. The chair and bear are not included. Like I said, I sure wish we knew her story.
