His sensitive and sincere big brown eyes, his kind expression, and his flowing white hair takes you back to a time. You wish you could have known him! This AMERICAN FOLK ART PORTRAIT dates around 1860. It is simple and understated. Its TRUE PRIMITIVE AMERICAN FOLK ART! The piece appears to be in ORIGINAL, UNTOUCHED CONDITION. There is no in-painting detected under black light inspection. The piece could probably use a professional cleaning, but I like my old pieces to look old, so I usually don’t touch them.
