ORIGINAL ANTIQUE 19TH CENTURY COUNTRYSIDE HOME WITH FAMILY & HORSE CART FOLK ART OIL PAINTING. This is just a great original piece. Fresh from a Worcester Massachusetts estate, this is a really wonderful charming 19th Century American folk art painting. Oil on panel measuring 9 x 12 inches there is no signature that I can find anywhere. The quality is very high. A lot going on in this work. The family house along the right side with ducks eating in the front yard. Mother and daughter seem to be arriving home from the fields with baskets in hand. Father is riding the horse cart down the road approaching the corner. Some great details including the houses in the distance, the crossroads sign at the corner, and the weeds in the road. The cloud and sky work in this painting is really high quality. Better than I have seen in many similar folk art paintings of this period. This was not done by any amateur artist. Really a very high quality painting. Mostly clean with just some minor spotting and surface grime. Still bright and vibrant. Original gold frame shows some minor chipping but is complimentary and ready to hang. Really an excellent presentation. A wonderful 19th century American scene. Frame measures 12 1/4 x 15 1/4 inches. Large 32in Hand Carved & Folk Art Painted Work Horse & Leather Halter Harness

Large 32in Hand Carved & Folk Art Painted Work Horse & Leather Halter Harness. My Granddaughter Cici loves this horse. The Folk Artist that hand carved this Large Wood Work Horse did not sign their work. This painted wood horse measures 32″ long by 23 ¼” to the top of the leather ears. The artist did a wonderful job of creating the leather and wood horse collar as well as the brass studded tack. The hair is made from very stiff hair, which actual may be horse hair. Overall this antique circa 1920s-40s Folk Art Carved Horse is in very good original condition. There is some missing hair from the mane and there is paint missing from the 9 ½” by 27 ¾” plywood base. There also is a stable old shrinkage crack down the center of the body. There are no other problems or restorations to this large American Folk Art Work Horse. We are listing it without any reserve. Howard Finster Painting Horse Wood Cutout Folk Outsider Original Art Reverend

This is a wonderful artwork by the Reverend Howard Finster. It is signed on the front and back and is dated October 15, 1990. The piece is also numbered 16,470. It measures 24 x 18 inches and is made with paint and marker on cutout wood. It is in excellent condition. Finster has been featured in many important exhibitions as well as private and museum collections. He had an environment in Georgia called Paradise Gardens where we met him and visited on multiple occasions. Now that he has passed away, they have preserved his environment and you can still visit it which we highly recommend. We have been collecting artwork for 26 years and our focus has been on self-taught, outsider, visionary and contemporary art.
