For sale is a vintage, original folk art painting by renowned Ecuadorian artist. He is one of the Quicha artists of Tigua. His paintings are exhibited at the Exedra Cultural Foundation at the Organization of American States in Washington D. At UNESCO headquarters in Paris, the Hearst Museum at the University of California, Berkeley and the Presidential. Carondelet Palace Ecuador, located in Quito. The scene depicts a village bullfight with the Andes Mountains in the background. It is painted on sheepskin in vivid colors, as is the frame and it is signed by the artist in the lower left-hand corner of the “canvas”. It measures approximately 11 1/2″ x 9 3/4″ x 1. Blow Oskar painting by the legendary folk artist, RA Miller. A rare and most cool Blow Oskar painting by the late and legendary folk artist, R. If you are an REM fan, this is for you. Miller was born July 22, 1912, in Gainesville, Georgia. He left this orb on March 7, 2006. His specialty was whirligigs and the hillside next to his house was covered with colorful spinning windmills as he called them and metal cutouts and painted figures. His cut-out tin animals for which he is best known surrounded his house. He cut tin in the shape of animals, devils, angels, and’Blow Oskar’ (a mystical man who would blow his horn every time he passed by). He gained widespread fame in 1984 after the band REM filmed Left of Reckoning among Millers art. His art is highly-collected and he is considered one of the elder statesmen of Folk Art. This wonderful and original antique decoy duck which is made of cork type wood with a wood beak is fitted with a bottom lead weight and is a nice early one. He signed his paintings in a flamboyant unique manner, documenting the region of Nayarit and comunidad of Sitakua, and usually referred to the name given to him. Language as Yucauye Cucame. J ose Benito Sanchez passed away in 2009 and it is rare to find any of his sensational yarn paintings. His pieces have gone up in value since his death.
