Extremely Rare Authentic Shaker Dipper. I only know of five carved and painted dippers in existence. And the 5th one is offered here. This is an exceptional community piece and original in every way! The very finely turned bowl and short handle retain most of the original oyster white painted finish. The paint is worn in all the right places. It comes with the original tag and receipt. I stand behind every sale. If youre not 100% happy, please contact me. A few words of caution on SHAKER. About 95% of all items I see being offered as Shaker are not Shaker. Items described as Shaker style, Shaker like, or vintage Shaker, outright fakes, or. Antiques that may be nice, but they are not Shaker. The majority in this group are. Offered as Shaker because the sellers believe them to be and are not trying to deceive. I have been a Shaker scholar for over 38 years and I still have to look twice sometimes. The very least, use your common sense. Real SHAKER artifacts are both- beautiful and smart investments. The so called Harvard Shaker boxes are not Shaker one finger points in one direction. And the other finger or swallowtail, points in the opposite direction I see them being. Offered as Shaker all the time. Although some of them are beautiful in their own right. They are not Shaker made. There is no documented scholarly research that the Shakers. You will not find them classified as Shaker in important collections or. AAFA ANTIQUE FOLK ART 13 DRAWER WOOD APOTHECARY GREEN CABINET ALLIGATOR PAINT. Up for sale is this wonderful 13 drawer spice or apothecary cabinet. It has 1 large drawer underneath and 12 little upper smaller drawers. The bottom drawer is the bottom of the cabinet. The cabinet has little brass drawer pulls. The color is a painted green drawer faces and cabinet frames are a deep brown, almost black color top trim of the cabinet, the sides and around the drawers. It makes it very nice looking. The green paint is alligatored and old as you can see in the pictures. The miter joint at the upper trim at the left side of the cabinet has a little gap in it and is not as right as the miter on the right side of the cabinet. This doesn’t detract from the look as you can see. The whole cabinet measures 12″ W (main cabinet) x 3.25″ D (main cabinet) x 14 H (overall). The drawers are painted on the outside and are unpainted on the inside. The drawers each measure. 1 Large Drawer at bottom: 9″ W x 3″ D x 2 H (inside dims). 12 Smaller Drawers: 2.75″ W x 2.25″ D x 1.25″ – 2.25″ D. It is a wonderful and one of a kind! The back is old wood and we don’t see any square nails but there are a bunch of rusty little nails. It’s a cute sized. Cabinet and has to hooks on the back so it can be hung on the wall. It would not likely be set on top of a cabinet because the bottom drawer is the bottom of the cabinet. It’s very cute and not something you’ll see again soon. We don’t know the age of this item but it looks early 20th century to us. There are nicks, scrapes, dings and worn / alligatored paint as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age. We will do our best to answer your questions. Take a look at this stunning oil painting-Don’t miss this rare piece Folks!! Featured here is this spectacular 1880s Scottish oil painting on old artists board. Painting depicts a stunning panoramic Scottish Highlands landscape scene of Thurso near Oldfield 1860. This scene is highly detailed with expansive historical view including homes, churches, people, and animals. Very rare to find such early detailed historical paintings such as this. Painting is signed lower right B Wilson 1886. Painting measures 18 X 24 inches and comes in its original antique frame measuring 22 X 28 inches also. This is one of the nicest detailed panoramic folk scenes I have ever offered! This piece would make a fabulous addition to anyones fine Scottish folk art collection or home. Painting had some previous restoration with varnish which would have cost a considerable amount alone to complete.
