1800s FOLK ART ORIGINAL PAINT MUSTARD EARLY WOOD DRY SINK DOUGH BOX SQUARE NAILS. Up for sale is this wonderful old primitive portable dry sink. Imagine this on the back of a chuck wagon as settlers moved across the country!! Stop for lunch and break out the portable dry sink! It’s a nice size. It’s a wonderful dry, crackled, soft mustard color with blue, red, grey, cream and wood undertones. Please see photos for the best description and accuracy. The dry sink has a lid on it that is removable. It is not attached to the dry sink. There are also two holes and a small crack in the lid of the dry sink as you can see in the pictures but the lid is still strong. You could use this as a center piece on your table and it would give you a great look. Leave the lid off and fill it up with wonderful greens or pumpkins or Christmas items. The paint appears to be all original and is dry, worn, rubbed, scraped, chipped, nicked, edge worn and patina-ed! There are also some cracks in the wood from age. There’s some damage on the right side where the wood was damaged. Also at that point, you can see one of the large heavy duty square nails. There are a lot of square nails in this piece. This is everything you’d expect to see from an old survivor cabinet like this! What a great look! It’s an old dry sink and you can see that there’s even two drains / holes on the left side in the bottom. We took a close up picture of this. There are a lot of old rusty nails as you can see in the pictures. The paint has some edge wear, scrapes, patina, fading, variation of color, wood showing through, chipping and nicks. Please see photos for accurate detail and description. The pictures are pretty good for the color, especially the close up ones. It’s a great dry sink! The dry sink measures 32.5″ L x 22″ D x 6.5″ H without the top and 7.5″ H with the top. The top is 7/8 thick wood. We regularly put up new items so check out our other items. Either way this is a fantastic original hand made and painted wood game board with fantastic colors nice mustard, black and orange great patina, its a full board not spliced together too make wider, they don’t cut boards this wide any longer , also as you see the edges have joinery board measures approx. 15 1/8″ x 13 1/4″ x 1/2 thick. EARLY ANTIQUE AAFA FOLK ART CHECKERBOARD ORIGINAL MUSTARD PAINT DARK BROWN OR BURGUNDY. Up for sale is this old hand painted checkerboard. It has a great folk art feel to it! The board has a dark rich. Reddish brown board with worn edges, paint loss and hand wear. The gaming part has beautiful Primitive soft creamy mustard/yellow squares with the reddish/dark brown/burgundy wood color alternating squares. The board is an 12 x 12 game field with room for checkers storage during the game on each end. It appears to be made from two wide / large pieces of wood. It measures 31″ L x 19.5″ W and is about 1-1/4 thick. It weighs about 7 lbs. There’s an old wire on two nails to hang it horizontally and a newer picture hanger to hang the checkerboard on the wall vertically. You can see these in the pictures of the back. The back side just brownish red and has scratches, nicks and dings from years of gaming. This side also has worn edges, scrapes, paint loss and hand wear. This is a very nice game board!! As mentioned, there’s some edge wear, paint loss, nicks, scrapes, scratches and dings. There is also a piece of the trim around the outside missing on the upper right corner if looking at the back. On the left side (looking at the back) there is a knot hole that you can see through. All of these “issues” are just as you’d expect from and item of this age. DOLL HOUSE ANTIQUE FOLK ART ARCHITECTURAL MODEL WOOD OOAK YELLOW PAINT AAFA. Up for sale is this wonderful old antique Primitive a. Rchitectural building / model or doll house. This is a 2-story wood. House that has a gable roof and a cute little dormer on the front. The roof does not come off but the bottom is open (no bottom) so you can get inside!! It has a wood exterior with yellow paint and green trim. The paint is all crackled and grungy / patina-ed as you can see in the pictures. The roof is made from asphalt shingles and it’s green. There’s a gable on each end left and right and a little, small dormer / gable on the front of the house. The little dormer has a wood roof. The outside of the house is yellow crackled paint with grunge-patina. The windows are simple, Primitive windows with a little brown decorative element over the top of them. The front door is brown wood and does work on its little hinges. The back of the house is a red painted couple of pieces of wood. The trim around the roof is green and so is the “base” of the house which is a line around the bottom of the house meant to look a little bit like a raised foundation. Inside the house it’s all open. It is painted inside a very light, soft robin’s egg blue color. It’s pretty dusty inside. On the back wall there’s a large paper picture of 3 boys, 3 teddy bears and their mother. The house has 13 windows (5 on the front and 4 on each side) and 1 door on the front. The windows are clear glass and all but one (front upstairs middle window) have the glass still in tact. You can see through the first and second story windows. The back of the house is just a wall. Overall the paint is in really old, but great-patina shape considering its age. The house does have a lot of edgewear scrapes, chips, crackle, alligatoring, nicks, grunge, fading here and there, scuffs and chips! The house measures 12.5″ wide x 10.5″ deep (at the yellow part) and 13.25″ long x 12.5″ wide at the roof line x 15 high to the top of the roof gable. It weighs about 8 lbs. Offering a beautiful mid 19th century antique round wooden pantry box in an early, dry, “crusty”, worn, mustard painted surface. The box is a really nice, thick heavy gauge, early example, with lots of character and age appropriate wear. The overlapping on the lid and box are secured with the original tacks and the bottom and top are secured with wooden pegs. DIMENSIONS – 6 5/8″ diameter top, 6 3/8″ diameter base, 2 7/8 high. CONDITION – WONDERFUL 6 5/8 DIAMETER MID 19TH CENTURY ROUND WOODEN PANTRY BOX IN AN AWESOME DRY, WORN, CRUSTY YELLOW / MUSTARD PAINTED SURFACE, WITH LOTS OF CHARACTER!
