This outstanding primitive whirligig is a wonderful example of early 20th century folk art which depicts an old man sawing. This colorful piece was done circa 1930’s. Size is 14 1/4″ long x 10″ tall and the span of the “whirl” is about 16 wide. Great detail and color, superb quality and clever craftsmanship. In original condition – just as it has descended throughout the years; dust and all. The paint is in very condition and the mechanism works well. The “Man & Saw” are attatched and moves back and forth however the “whirl” does not move them….
