The profile of this American Folk Art Silhouette is cut-paper with a cloth back. The finely laced dress and collar are hand drawn in pencil, shaded with charcoal and accented with watercolors. In her very tiny folk art hands is a single purple flower. This silhouette painting measures 2 5/8″ by 3 3/8″ and it comes in a 4 ½” by 5 ¼” gilt brass frame. The frame has some dark tarnish to spots of the brass under the gold gilt, but there are no other problems or restorations.
