Original folk art painting created by Shelley Walters through the Alabama Folk’s Art Project (AIM – Aid to Inmate Mothers). This hand-painted piece depicts a house with a steeple beneath a blue sky with fluffy white clouds, along with a small winged figure in the air above. Painted on a 6″ x 5″ wooden board with an attached loop for hanging. The Alabama Folk’s Art Project was developed to help individuals in difficult life situations express creativity, self-worth, and hope. Proceeds from sales of these works benefit incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women through educational and re-entry programs. Medium: Acrylic on wood. Size: 6″ x 5″ approx.
