Jim Shore SANTA’S WORKSHOP with Santa Elves Full 4 Piece Set – Enesco #4008233. This complete set of 4 features the workshop with paints and tools and mini Jim Shore items. Santa is working at his workbench painting a toy soldier with an elf holding his paint pallet. The other 2 pieces are 2 other elves, one standing and playing with a marionette and the other sitting on a bench and sewing a doll’s dress. Dated 2007, this is a Jim Shore Heartwood Creek item licensed by Enesco. The original box and packaging are included. The box is in pretty good condition besides some wear and staining that comes with age. The set is in great like new, open box condition. No chips, cracks or defects in the figures or workshop. The workshop piece measures about 12 inches long by about 11.75 inches tall by about 2 inches deep. The figure of Santa at his workbench measures 7.75 inches tall by 5 7/8 inches wide by 5 inches deep. The elf with the marionette measures about 6 inches tall and the base measures 2.75 inches wide by 3.5 inches long. The seated elf holds a needle with lavender thread as he adds details to a beautiful doll. He measures about 5.25 inches tall and the base measures 3 inches square. HOWARD FINSTER – “SCRAP FROM MY WORKSHOP” (1986) – ORIGINAL AMERICAN FOLK ART. Painted wood cutout measuring approximately 21″ x 14.5″. One of my favorite Finster pieces! These works from leftover wood from his cutout paintings. Signed and dated December 28, 1986. NOTE: there are circular indentations along the edges of the back, probably from clamping the original wood. Down to cut (see picture of painting back above). Were there when I bought this piece in Summerville. What the heck those are! A great piece of American folk art and a wonderful addition to any folk or outsider art collection or for any Talking.
