This artwork was born from pain and uncertainty. During the making of this piece, I was dealing with months of chronic pain and financial hardship which fueled my depression. This piece got me through the worst parts of it. I’m still dealing with a lot in my personal life, and art has been the outlet of expression that has helped me overcome the darkest moments. Medium: Posca Black Acrylic Paint Markers on 48″ x 36″ Stretched canvas ready to hang! Sprayed with 3 layers matte varnish. I WILL CONSIDER ALL OFFERS. FEEL FREE TO MESSAGE ME HERE IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR WOULD. Art is my therapy. It’s a way for me to quiet down the noise in my head and express myself creatively. I don’t usually plan my pieces out in advance. I prefer to start with a blank canvas and see where the process takes me. I’m often inspired by concepts, ideas, and characters that don’t exist, but that are in some way an extrapolation of reality, observations, or personal experiences. (Next to artist for scale). (Sides are painted black). Be sure to check out my video in the listing’s gallery! Thank you for watching!

Original signed oil painting by Helga Schweininger, a Costa Mesa, California artist and author (born in Graz, Austria; settled in Southern California in 1962). The reverse bears three handwritten titles – “Strange World, ” “Spider Cocoon, ” and “Spinning (Cocooning)” – suggesting the artist revised her own read on the piece more than once. One of the more genuinely surreal pieces in this collection: a solitary tree shelters a fuzzy, web-wrapped cocoon marked with a red X, while a strange red-roofed pod nearby cradles a cluster of pale, egg-like forms with two small birds perched watchfully on top. Above, a trail of glowing red orbs drifts through a hazy, textured sky over barren ground. The muted, sandy palette and dreamlike imagery set this piece apart from the artist’s brighter, more narrative animal and garden scenes – closer to outsider surrealism than storybook whimsy. Signed “Helga” in the lower right of the canvas. The reverse bears the artist’s handwritten (and revised) titles, size, and catalog number. Part of a collection of works by this artist currently being listed from the same estate. This piece’s surreal, symbolic quality may appeal specifically to collectors of outsider/visionary art in addition to the artist’s usual folk-art audience. Dimensions: 24″ W x 30″ H (canvas only, unframed).

“Blue Gaze & Braided Snake” is a playful yet slightly mysterious character portrait that blends humor with surreal storytelling. A direct blue-eyed gaze meets an unexpected companion – a snake adorned with bright yellow braids and tiny red glasses – creating an image that feels curious, mischievous, and quietly bold. The unusual pairing sparks imagination and invites viewers to invent their own narrative. The expressive brushwork and simplified forms balance folk-art warmth with contemporary pop-surreal energy. This is the kind of artwork that becomes a conversation piece – strange, funny, memorable, and impossible to ignore. Perfect for collectors who love. Whimsical surrealism. Pop-surreal character art. Modern folk-inspired painting. Quirky, personality-filled artwork. Art that feels imaginative and unconventional. Original acrylic on canvas. Size: 11 × 14 inches. Sealed and ready to display. This piece belongs in a creative home – somewhere art can be strange, playful, and expressive without explanation. A portrait that blends innocence, humor, and surreal imagination into one unforgettable blue-eyed stare.

On offer are nine ACEO framed original acrylic paintings on illustration board by E9art. When the pieces were framed the text on the reverse of the works was photocopied and applied alongside the art. Each painting has only been partially and lightly adhered to the framing paper and can easily be removed if desired without damaging the artwork. The backing board is secured with rotating clips which would make removal from the frame very easy to do. Frame measurements are; height 15.5 inches by width 21.5 inches, and the frame is 0.75 inches deep.
