This vibrant piece depicts a lively, whimsical winter scene of villagers and children participating in a traditional “Lantern Dance” celebration amidst a snowy blue landscape. Note on Authenticity: This is a true original painting, not a print. High-magnification examination confirms absolutely no digital or lithographic dot matrix patterns. It features the rich, matte texture, opaque layering, and slight paper dimension characteristic of hand-applied gouache/tempera (shui fen) on heavy art paper. The piece is hand-signed by the artist in vertical calligraphy in the lower right corner, accompanied by a traditional red ink artist seal stamp. Original Chinese Peasant Folk Art Painting Titled Under The Great Wall 24x16

The painting is by Feng Ai Dong , created in December 1997 . It depicts a group of people carrying gifts, possibly for a celebration, against a snowy background. The painting is done in a folk art style with vibrant colors and simple figures. Titled “Under the Great Wall”. This is a beautiful and unique painting. The frame is real wood and it has a custom mat. It has not been professionally framed and is not sealed. The backing can be removed for access to the painting. The glass is very thick and heavy. The frame has some scratches which are pictured in the photos as well as some shading on the mat. Feel free to send questions. I did use google to interpret the writing on the painting and the mat.

Up for sale is a wonderful Chinese folk art painting by Shao Qihua who was an artist at the Jinshan Peasant Painting Academy. Measuring 26.25 x 21 inches this painting is executed on paper and titled “Spring Snow” showing a snow laden village with colorful homes and figures. The painting is signed in the lower left corner with the artists chop as well as verso with the official signed red seal and sticker from the academy. The overall condition is excellent when framed and the work is hard to find from this particular artist. The composition is excellent and was well executed in this lovely folk art style.
