Sweet naive painting with interesting subject, signed by artist & poet Charles I Ramsey Doeg, complete with provenance and a cute pencil written poem. Seems to have been after the Provincetown fish pier in Cape Cod. Just a really nice little time capsule and not something you will likely find again. Antique Original oil Painting on board – Painting has some age and some minor. Needs a good cleaning see pics but it. In my mind – This framed in a. Black frame that has some chips on the edges not perfect by any means see pics for full details, Would look awesome in beach cottage, home or office The outside measures of the frame are. 10-1/4 Inches X 12 inches the board measures 6-1/2 inches X4-5/8 inches approx. On the board as well and this is signed on the back of the board in pencil just very light. Hard to read see pictures for details. Whats wrong with it? Painting needs a good cleaning; some crackling and the frame has some chips these chips can be filled with stucco shaped and frame can be repainted as well see pictures for full details.

This is a charming and whimsical Antique Old American Folk Art Nautical Boy Portrait Oil Painting on wood, depicting a young and finely dressed blond haired and blue-eyed boy, setting near a coastal shoreline. Signed: “Ginny” in the lower right corner. I could not find any information on this artist, but perhaps you know more about her or her work? This piece likely dates to the 1930’s – 1940’s. Approximately 15 1/4 x 20 3/4 inches, and 3/4 of an inch thick. Good condition for decades of age and storage, with some moderate edge wear, some light scuffing and scratches to the painted surface, and some speckles of paint loss throughout. Its flying an US flag. Painting is on a thin wood board. Signed in the upper right corner. Looks to date from the first part of the 20th century. Maybe 1930s or so. Neat piece of folk art. I recently found this near Erie PA. Frame is just under 16 inches wide and about 12 and 3/8 inches tall. See can for scale. Has a wire on the back and is ready to hang on a wall. Some wear, mostly age related. Frame is painted and has some paint loss. Taped on the back. See photos and video.
