Fantastic large winter landscape, signed by artist Mae Thommes. The style is representational with a slant towards folk art. The lighting in the painting perfectly evokes a cloudy winter day. It’s a skilled painting. The image itself as well as the size both make a huge impact. Every time I walk into the room where this painting is hanging it takes my breath away and I have to stop and admire it once again. 40.5′ x 40.5 on stretched canvas, with an off white wooden frame.
