Fancy Vermont paint decorated miniature chest with brown swirly decoration on an ivory background. The ivory background is original old paint. The decoration is a newer addition. Cabinets and furniture I build are made from a majority of reclaimed wood. While my work is design-build in the traditional style, the use of the reclaimed wood gives the piece an original worn appearance without beating up the piece to make it look old. When using reclaimed wood, there will be imperfections knots-knot holes, nail holes, scratches, dings and dents. Those imperfections are what make each piece stand out on its own from the next.
