This is a keeper! Salesman’s sample miniature 2 drawer blanket chest in old dry dark green paint. The drawers are all hand made and constructed just like the full sized chests. The drawer pull knobs are antique knobs. The paint is original dark Windsor green paint with some in-painting on the edges. The top opens with miniature leather hinges. This is a reconstruction made from old recycled poplar with original dark green painted surface. The dimensions are: 10-1/4″ tall x 10″ wide x 4 deep (front to back). Blanket chest in grain painted mustard yellow with stacked bun style feet, measuring approx. 37″ long x 18.5″ wide x 22 tall, in total. Solid construction with s. Quare nail construction, sturdy and beautifully crafted &. There is an inner storage tray with lid, but it does not have a key. It has blemishes sustained during regular use or during several moves over the course of its life, and so there are small pieces of wood missing on the edges of the lid trim, scratches & wear to paint, wood shrinkage gap in a bottom board. The wood beneath the hinges was replaced at some point as well. There is a water stain on the top. Most of this is shown or can be seen in the photos(need more just ask). The item “19c.
