I was very happy I changed, moving on to now a scraper and more fluorescent colors. This uses a lovely array of bright yellows and greens mixed with Prussian blue and musou black.

This beautiful large painting is a true masterpiece of Balinese folk art. Created in approximately the 1960s, this single-piece work depicts a scene of agriculture and farming in the tropical mountains of Bali. The painting measures 30 inches in length, 40 inches in height, and 1.5 inches in width, and is a painting on canvas with the original detailed hand carved wood frame. The condition is as follows on this rarer larger Balinese piece. There is wear to the frame with some damage but it is original and hand carved, this is pictured, the painting could use an additional few nails in back to secure it better in the frame as it’s loose in some areas. There are a few minor scratches on the painting which show the yellow undercoat of color but noticed only with a closer look as it is a very detailed piece of art. Upper left corner of frame could use better securing but all of this does not prevent enjoying as in. Please view all pictures. ORIGINAL 1991 CATE MANDIGO’RITA THE DOG’ OIL PAINTING. This is just a great original piece. I was lucky enough to acquire an incredible collection of original Cate Mandigo oil paintings from a collector in Pennsylvania. I have seen some of her paintings in the past and always thought they were excellent works of 20th Century Folk Art. For those not familiar with the artist, I have included her biography below. This is a wonderful original miniature oil on masonite of an adorable Dalmation dog. Painting measures 3 x 4 inches. Signed and dated lower right and titled lower lower left. Outstanding as painted condition. Original frame is complimentary and ready to hang. Frame measures 4 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. For those not familiar with the artist her biography from various articles reads: Mandigo has for decades been a mainstay of the art scene in the Adirondacks. Her American primitive folk-art paintings have been collected by art enthusiasts across the nation as well as overseas. She’s won major national awards for her work, and she’s been invited four times to paint artwork to be displayed in the White House. An artist with great talent and referred to as the Grandma Mosses of the south. The painting is in great condition the frame is vintage and has some nicks, but the painting looks good in it.
