AMAZING AAFA 1800’S ORIGINAL PAINT YELLOW BLUE EARLY PRIMITIVE WOOD DRY SINK. Up for sale is this wonderful old primitive dry sink. It’s a nice sized two door cabinet with a shelf inside. It’s a wonderful dry, soft yellow color with blue and wood undertones. There is paint coming through the yellow paint. There is a wonderful blue paint on the inside of the doors which may indicate that the entire cabinet. May have been blue at one point and the outside yellow was the secondary color. Please see photos for the best description and accuracy. The paint appears to be all original and is dry, worn, rubbed, scraped, chipped, nicked, edge worn and patina-ed! There are also some cracks in the wood from age. This is everything you’d expect to see from an old survivor cabinet like this! What a great look! It’s an old dry sink and you can see that there’s even a drain / hole on the right side in the back. We took a close up picture of this. The doors open and the left door has a metal latch and loop to hold it shut. You could leave the doors open and display crocks, or firkins or other wonderful items. There are a lot of old rusty nails as you can see in the pictures. Also, there’s a crack in the left side that starts at the top but is still sturdy and strong. The paint has some edge wear, scrapes, patina, fading, variation of color, wood showing through, chipping and nicks. Please see photos for accurate detail and description. The pictures are pretty good for the color, especially the close up ones. It’s a great old cabinet / cupboard!! The cabinet measures 41.5 W x 18.5″ D x 29.75″ H. Set of Eight DESIMONE Signed. Hand Painted Abstract Art Pottery. This heavy abstract folk art glazed pottery is individually hand made and hand painted. No two pieces are alike which makes them rare and unique. The brightly colored plates have yellow, green and red bands with a star design in the middle of each plate. Made in Italy, the bottom of the plates are signed DESIMONE ITALY 13 or 64 and have the initials L. Six of the plates are signed L. And 2 plates are signed N. REMENTS: Each plate is approximately 10 inches in diameter. CONDITION: Very good estate condition. One of the 8 plates has a chip on the backside (not visible from the front) as shown in the last photo. No other chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. May have typical manufacturing imperfections. YELLOW HAIRED WOMAN and BIRDFISH image…. Painted on a damaged see last two photos! Large thin recycled fiberboard piece. Measures a big 20 x 32. Board is separating on bottom right. Might be a challenge to frame. Small, Raised 3-d in areas mostly on top, maybe was glue Micheal painted over?? . Painted on a recycled board, which is typical for a Banks’ piece… Again separation on the layers of thin wood, however, displays VERY WELL! This piece exemplifies the emotion and talents of Mr. Vibrant colors, which my camera did NOT capture well! BIO: Michael has won many honors with his work which has been exhibited in New York, Denver, and Atlanta. The Hurn Museum in Savannah, Georgia presented a One-Man exhibition of his work in 2005 and has a number of his works in their permanent collection. Articles featuring his work have appeared in Southern Living magazine (August 2006) and Better Homes and Gardens (August 2006). A review of his Hurn exhibition in the Savannah Morning News stated, “Michael Banks: Outsider Artist” offers Savannah’s most rewarding and penetrating solo show in recent memory. As this unforgettable exhibit clearly indicates, Banks is one outsider artist who has certainly earned the right to be on the inside. Michael Banks continues painting full time. OOAK ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE FOLK ART PIE SAFE PUNCHED TIN ORIGINAL RED YELLOW PAINT STARS. Up for sale is this amazing old pie safe. This is the real deal!! It’s old, it’s Primitive and it’s fabulous! 62.5 H x 42 W at the top x 17 D at the top. It’s a rare, one-of-a-kind white, folksy, punched / louvered tin pie safe. It has two doors on it with old Shaker style hinges as you can see in the pictures. The doors work well and the right door has a little wood thumb turn at the top to hold it shut against the cabinet. This door then has a an astragal (wood thing on the left side of the door) that holds the left door shut. The doors are old. And there’s a little play in the doors on the hinges and when they are closed. The doors are 3/4 thick. It’s a yellow cabinet and is yellow on the wood parts, top and sides including the tins on the sides. The front tins are a bold red. The tins are stars and each star has a circle around it. The front tins are in good shape considering their age. The right side tins have some rust on the bottom two tins and the bottom one is a little pushed in. On the left side they are in good shape with red paint undertones and some rust too. Inside there are three shelves and they are a grungy, worn and well-used white. The shelves are 1-1/8 thick. The back is made from 7 old wood tongue and groove boards. There are big square rusty nails all over the back. There’s a big square nail coming down from the top where there is a mouse hole near the top and inside there’s a metal repair. We took a close-up of that for you. The top has some wear to it and we took a picture of it on its side. You can see that it may have been wet or something as the grain lifted and separated but the top is still strong. It’s only on the surface and you can’t see the top (unless you are really tall) when you are in front of the cabinet. The wood on the top is 1-1/8 thick! There are also some scratches, nicks, chips, surface rust, paint loss, alligator paint, crackle, hand rub wear, edge wear, paint marks and patina. These are all things you want to see in a true antique – don’t you just love it? ! ? ! It’s a very nice piece for your collection. Thank you for looking at this item. AMAZING AAFA 1800’S ORIGINAL PAINT YELLOW BLUE EARLY PRIMITIVE WOOD DRY SINK. Up for sale is this wonderful old primitive dry sink. It’s a nice sized two door cabinet with a shelf inside. It’s a wonderful dry, soft yellow color with blue and wood undertones. There is paint coming through the yellow paint. There is a wonderful blue paint on the inside of the doors which may indicate that the entire cabinet. May have been blue at one point and the outside yellow was the secondary color. Please see photos for the best description and accuracy. The paint appears to be all original and is dry, worn, rubbed, scraped, chipped, nicked, edge worn and patina-ed! There are also some cracks in the wood from age. This is everything you’d expect to see from an old survivor cabinet like this! What a great look! It’s an old dry sink and you can see that there’s even a drain / hole on the right side in the back. We took a close up picture of this. The doors open and the left door has a metal latch and loop to hold it shut. You could leave the doors open and display crocks, or firkins or other wonderful items. There are a lot of old rusty nails as you can see in the pictures. Also, there’s a crack in the left side that starts at the top but is still sturdy and strong. The paint has some edge wear, scrapes, patina, fading, variation of color, wood showing through, chipping and nicks. Please see photos for accurate detail and description. The pictures are pretty good for the color, especially the close up ones. It’s a great old cabinet / cupboard!! The cabinet measures 41.5 W x 18.5″ D x 29.75″ H. The well inside measures 40″ W x 17″ D x 4.75 H. We can also recommend a couple of shippers. This is a great dry sink! We regularly put up new items so check out our other items. Old Vintage Mexican Side Table with Original Yellow Paint Carved Top and Turned Legs. We have owned this for about 20 years. It measures 19 1/8 x 19 7/8 across the top. Hand carved top with turned legs and turned spindles around the skirt. The top is split and cupped/warped. Some old dry rot on the foot and we attached a felt patch to one foot to set level. Overall paint wear and some wax drips on the top. The table is strong and does not wobble. A very nice old Mexican table. Carefully packaged and insured. Please see my other listings.
