A grungy and brightly paint decorated Berks County folk art box. The box is not old and is made from mahogany. The paint is not old. Grungy and dirty with bright poppies and green foliage typical of Berks county boxes. The dimensions are: 4-1/4″ tall x 10-1/4″ wide x 5 deep (front to back). Jacob Weber Miniature Paint Decorated Trinket Box Lancaster County PA Folk Art

Miniature Jacob Weber paint decorated trinket box, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania This is a detailed copy of an original Jacob Weber box. Some of his boxes feature a mustard yellow background and some with a very dark green background. Most all of them feature the colonial house flanked by two trees. This is an artisan reproduction made from old recycled pine. The paint decoration has been darkened and aged to look authentic. Complete with miniature hand made snipe hinges and a miniature hasp. The pictures do not do justice to this box. The background color is a beautiful Shaker Blue with mustard banding and star decorations in mustard with red highlights. The box is constructed of antique vintage pine and early nails. The paint decoration is a newer addition. It measures 6-1/2″ long x 2-1/4″ tall x 3-1/8 wide. Miniature paint decorated chest with a cut-out bracket base and red and yellow swag and tassel decoration. This box reminds me of painted tinware. The box is a reconstruction made from vintage oxidized pine. The black base paint is original and the paint decoration is a newer addition. It has brass hinges and bumps and bruises and wear. This great PA Dutch wood domed top trinket box measures 2.75″ high, 4″ wide and 2.5 deep. It has its original blue paint and is decorated with tulips and flowers of various colors. It is in very good condition, with no breaks to the wood and minor paint wear. It still has its original clasp and the bottom is attached with small wood pegs.
