AAFA EARLY FOLK ART ANTIQUE WALL SHELF ORIGINAL WHITE PAINT SQUARE NAILS. Up for sale is this wonderful one of a kind wall shelf. It’s old, its paint is wonderfully crackled and alligatored. It’s wood, and it appears to be the original old paint. It is white with wood color, beige, green and even a few blue undertones. The white paint is very old. It’s got edgewear and paint chips / missing paint but it’s adorable with lots of age and patina! The supports are nicely scalloped as you can see in the pictures. On the back, the little scallops are held in to the back board with little square nails. On the front, there are a number of places where they put holes through the face board to hold it to the wall. All of this just adds such wonderful character to this shelf! On the top, there are two newer eye hooks as you can see in the pictures. These could easily be unscrewed if you don’t want them. This is truly a one-of-a-kind item. The shelf measures 48″ L at the top and 43″ L along the back x 8.75″ H x 8″ D. The wood on the top is 1 thick. We don’t know the age of this item. There are nicks, scrapes, edge wear, paint loss, fading, dings and worn paint as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age. Primitive wooden wall sconce in wonderful blue paint. This wall sconce is made from old pine and poplar reclaimed wood with cut nail construction. Exquisite Early Folk Art Wooden Butterfly Corner Shelf Hand Carved/ Painted

Up for sale is this phenomenal example of early hand painted figural folk art in the form of a dramatic multicolor butterfly. This piece is composed of multiple types of hand paint woods fashioned in the form of a corner shelf with a delicately hewn center tapering at each end, scalloped carved edges on the wings of the butterfly, and hand carved zig zag pattern wood on the edge of the shelf. The wood is then hand painted with a variety of colors including orange, red, white, yellow, burgundy, and green which create a beautiful composition that at times references naturalism in the form of flowers and vines and at times enters the realms of abstraction as can be seen in the swirling lines of the lower wings resembling paintings by Morris Lewis, and the chevrons of the center body which mimic the chevron patterns of the shelf edge. This is a truly incredible piece of early folk art, all hand made and hand painted, measuring just shy of 23 in total height and with a shelf that extends out approximately 5. This piece is in lovely condition with a surface that shows its age and history without being overtly or unflatteringly worn or damaged. There is some minor paint splatter on the shelf, which could be cleaned professionally if you so choose and there is a small chip pictured along one of the scallops of the upper wing. Aafa Ooak Folk Art Antique Primitive Step Stool / Shelf Alligator Blue Paint

AAFA OOAK FOLK ART ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE STEP STOOL / SHELF ALLIGATOR BLUE PAINT. Up for sale is this wonderful 3-step stool / smaller stair / bench riser or could even be used as a potting bench / step / shelf. It’s an adorable old 3 step and has crackly / alligator paint, lots of patina and a great look!! It is blue and/or green depending on where you look, sometimes the blue is dominant with a little green and sometimes the green is dominant with a little blue. There are layers of paint so it has that thick, many layers look to it. Then, there are areas where there is very little paint with wood showing and just a little crackly paint. On the front there’s a wonderful little scalloped edge under the first step! The back has a trestle back (criss cross) for support. It’s a steep step so we don’t recommend using it as a step. It’s a very nice decorative piece for any Primitive collection! The step has what look like square nails in it as you can see in the first picture. There are also a number of round nails and some in the bottom also. The tips of the base legs are fairly worn and missing paint as you can see in the pictures. This is truly a one-of-a-kind item. The step measures 27.25″ H (to the top step) x 19.5″ W x 19.5 D (at base). The top step is about 7″ deep while the bottom 2 steps are about 6.25″ D. Each step is about. We don’t know the age of this item. There are nicks, scrapes, small cracks, dings and worn paint as you can see in the pictures but nothing you wouldn’t expect from an item of this age. Offering this RARE ANTIQUE FOLK ART PRIMITIVE WOOD Shelf! It consists of wood and ROSEMALING Painted in Scandinavian, Swedish, Norway Style! This shelf seems to be rare and one of a kind, as when researched, nothing was comparable.. It is constructed as a decorative shelf with two hand carved front knobs, maybe for hanging something. The top has little turned dowels and two metal hanging rings , that appear to be original. There are original antique flat head screws holding it together. The decorative front part swings open on. This folk art has super nice hand painting in deep blue-green, red, gold, and yellow. Very good with one top small spindle-dowel missing and some have been glued back in. Cracks, or major repairs. Chipping to edges and paint loss. Widest part – top shelf is 16. Total Height – 14. Carved Knobs – 1 3/4 Across. Please, keep in mind that we sell vintage items that have been used by.
