You can see the damage in the sky. There is a small hole or spot and line in one section. I think it is typical of the age. I don’t know if someone has sealed it, or not. Use the zoom feature. She was an artist who painted lighthouses, I think she framed it in the 1970s. This is not her style. I believe it is 1909. Image size is approximately 9 x 11 1/2 inches. Antique 19th C. Tall Ships American Seascape Primitive Folk Sketch Painting O/B
It has a great primitive, folky feel to it and although it is merely opinion, believed to be American. The board on which it was painted measures 8.5 x 6.25 inches and is unsigned. There are some small specks of paint chipping that can be seen in photos. It is paired with an antique gold frame which measures 10.5 x 8 inches and does have some chipping in the lower left corner and along the left edge. Please review photos for condition of frame.
