This superb piece features an ornately carved symmetrical design to its front. The carvings are crisp and very clear. The frame has a fantastic shape that is extremely pleasing to the eye. The original finish was mellowed and warmed with age which gives this piece an absolutely stunning look. This Antique / Vintage piece still holds an original period Photograph of a beautiful baby that has the cutest smile!!! Also retains its original piece of glass which covers and protects the photograph. This superb picture frame still retains its original hanging chord and eyelets. An amazing find for your Tramp Art / Chip Carved collection. This amazing piece measures approximately 21.7cm in length and stands 27.6cm in height. It weighs approximately 400g. Presented in excellent condition. There are virtually no losses to the chip carving. There are a couple of small nicks to the edges of this piece. This is extremely minimal and in no way detracts from this piece whilst on display. The original glass is in great condition, as is the original photograph. Both the cardboard backing and the nails holding it in place remain strong. The original hanging chord, although yellowed with age still remains strong. It displays absolutely beautifully!! Features wood cut letters of the German word’Erinnerung’ at top, meaning memory, and the date 1904 at bottom. Shallowest portion of frame has a reddish brown fabric accent. Frame has 6 or 7 layers, and measures 1 1/2 thick overall. There is no damage aside from some staining to fabric layer. All from a private collection that belonged to a single owner. Vtg Antique 1920’s Folk Art Real Photo N Hair Baby Picture Real Satin & Lace

Get Vendio Gallery – Now FREE! This gorgeous picture is a real photo that has been cut out, and then used to create a paper doll with real hair, dressed in real satin, in a real satin layette. There is gorgeous lace with pink rose and silver trim. There is a green patterned fabric background made to look like the back of the layette or crib. The baby has beautiful pink and blue silk rosette trim in her hair. There is a silk bow at each corner, tied with a silver cord. The silver cord and trim have darkened over time. The picture is overall slightly faded, and the baby has a very slight green tinge. Photos in this time weren’t color photos, but sepia that were hand colored. The hands are slightly curved over the blanket, to give added realism. It is under glass, in a wood frame that has a slight green border. The wood frame has darkened with age. The picture is a folk art style that was very popular in the Victorian era, through the 1930’s. The backing is brown paper. It is large, measuring 15″ by 19″. The picture is quite a piece of folk art, with gorgeous patina – the aged look that things get over time. I have lots of other vintage folk art pieces, so take a look! Huge Antique WEIRD CHILDREN Photo Tint PAINTING Portrait Primitive FOLK ART Vtg

I recently acquired it at an estate sale of a woman who was an antique dealer for many years. I’m certainly not an art expert, so I will attempt to describe it as well as I can, but please ask any questions you might have. The clothing appears to be painted, but I don’t see or feel any brush strokes on the faces. However, the faces do look painted, just no obvious brush strokes. The surface that the portrait is on doesn’t feel like canvas. It’s’hard’, but’bumpy’. The faces do look that’s what they could be. The clothing has some brush strokes, so they might also be hand tinted, then perhaps some paint was added. I just can’t tell for sure. The picture is huge, with a framed measurement of 34″ x 27 1/2″. The frame has a few scratches, but nothing significant. There is a signature at the bottom, but it’s so very faint that I can just barely make out that it’s a signature at all. I have no idea what it says, though. There are a few scratches near the bottom of the picture. This is just weird enough that it’s extremely cool! I mean, really, who wouldn’t want this hanging over the mantel. Guaranteed, this will be the focal point of any room, and its sure to be a conversation starter with any social group you are entertaining!
