Signed in the lower right hand corner Molly Nye Tobey, this Folk Art Painting depicts a row of colonial homes as well as farmers, workers, and a woman on the far right who is making butter. I suspect that this original Molly Tobey Folk Art Painting is an early example of her work, before she discovered her true calling of making hook rugs.
