Antique Portrait Folk Art Painting on Panel Dated Fantastic Frame
This antique folk art portrait was found in France. It has many things going for it: the portrait is painted on a metal panel with clear features and a signature and date. It is housed in an antique black and gilt angular frame of the same period. The combined work is very impressive and will grace any portrait gallery. The features of the man are clear and well done, his multi colored waist coat and cravat are spot on. His hand seems somewhat large. All in all a great piece. It is signed Leland? Condition is very good, the frame has some minor dings to the edges and the panel has been remounted. It is room ready.
