This wonderful and original antique decoy duck which is made of cork type wood with a wood beak is fitted with a bottom lead weight and is a nice early one. A very nice decorative piece with lots of character including pellet holes. Size: Length: 29 cm (11 1/4). Width 12 cm (4 3/4). Height: 12.5 cm (5). Condition: Well used original antique condition with lots of age related wear, cracks, chips, pellet holes and flaking paint leaving a wonderful decorative look. Up for your consideration today is this.. Antique 19th Century American School Folk Art. Country Farm Scene With Animals Playing In A Snowy Landscape. 100% Original Oil On Canvas Painting. I don’t who painted this large painting, but what a wonderful artist. Look at all those trees… Done in Americana folk art style of Grandma Moses. Certainly worthy of restoring. Canvas measures 24″ tall x 30″ wide. Gold gilt wooden frame measures 27″ x 35″ wide. Good antique 100% original condition with no tears, and no repairs. Being 100+ years old it has dust, dirt, and paint losses bottom right. Remaining paint looks tight, not flaking. A great classic American scene that’s ripe for restoration. Antique Wooden Working Decoy form Hamilton, Ontario Canada. Several coats of paint added over years. Duck is in preening position. The wood has drying cracks and is in good shape for age. The keel has lead insert in the back. History, came from Hamilton, Ontario region of Canada and migrated to Millington, Michigan, several hunting trips can be seen from wear on the wood. Migrated again to Churchville, Maryland and flew in to a collections, who put on a shelf for several years with other Canadian decoys, also, from Madison Mitchell, Captain Harry Jobes, and numerous Maryland decoy makers.
